To give better insight into the status of the indicium layer a visual representation in the windows GUI would be really helpful. To implement this a traffic light system could be used. New ugrade step drop tablesClosed

If something goes wrong during the upgrade part of the execute source code most times you have to restore a DB to start over. This is very time consuming and not necessary. If the drop table part from the upgrade step is moved to a new step drop tables, which would be placed at the end of the execute source code. This would mean that if something goes wrong during the upgrade step you could still check the data to see what went wrong. After solving the problem you could then just run the script again, since the backup tables still exist.The only reason I can think of why the drop table is currently in this step is the removal of domains. This could easily be solved by using global temp tables.

Task option: only one running task at a timeDeclined

Please add a tickbox on a task to prevent a second task of the same task to run at the same time. I noticed that with the option to run tasks in the background this is becoming more of an issue. It would be great if there was a standard solution for this, instead of the need to program this in all business tasks.

How to use custom code for upgrade code group when in a branch

There is an option to add custom code to the Upgrade code group to do for example an insert into a table. However, how do I use this when using a branch? for example if I have a table with 2 rows and during development I want to add row number 3. trunk version 1 2 rows exist branch version 1 2 rows exist branch version 2 3 rows should exist trunk version 2 3 rows should exist Branch version 2 is merged back to the trunk to create trunk v2 and trunk version 2 will be used to do the upgrade from trunk version 1 to 2. The actual insert is developed in branch version 2. Now I have two options: option 1: If I use after upgrade always then the code is in the upgrade script every release untill i delete it manually. option 2 :If I use after upgrade from branch 1 to branch 2 then insert part gets lost in the trunk version 2. How do I do this correctly? If I have to do it manually in trunk version 2 then it beats the purpose of the upgrade script part.

Add a cancel button to select model popup when starting the SFOpen

When starting the SF you get a popup to select a branch. However, when starting a new project I just want to press cancel and create a new Model. So please add a cancel button to this popup.

At the last step of the creation process (execute source code) the user has to connect to a database. One setting is remembered, I believe this is the connection set up in the runtime config? This is already helpful but it would be even better if all connections would be remembered and you could select one from the drop down list, just like how SSMS connections system works but then include the database. This would save the hassle of having to type the connection every time you deploy against a test, training, acceptance or production environment.

Custom system flow schedule in IAMCompleted

Currently if you want to have a scheduled process flow (system flow) you have to setup the schedule in software factory and then synchronize this to IAM. However if you want to deviate from this schedule you have to go back to the software factory create a new schedule or amend the existing one and synchronize to IAM. It would add a lot of flexibility to have the option to create a custom system flow schedule in IAM. Otherwise for larger applications you would have to create a schedule for each possible iteration. For this to work there needs to be an option to check whether a system flow schedule can be set to a custom schedule or not. So a tickbox in the software factory should be added "custom schedule allowed.”.

Task to create and assign a template for tasks, views, ctx, lay, defOpen

When creating a context, default, layout or a template for a view you have to do the same steps. create a control procedure generate the code group search the task/view/subject in assigning assign the template8 out of 10 times this can be automated if you add only 1 template and use the standard naming standards for templates and control procedures. I would suggest adding several tasks:on tasks: a task to create the template and assign it to the task on subjects: a task to create the ctx/def/layout (checkboxes which you want to create) and assign it to the subject on data model (view): a task to create the template and assign it to the view when the view is template based. All would follow standard naming protocols.Also the tasks should check if there is already a template. Optional: use a process flow to open the just created template so you can start coding.

Is it possible to change the icon when running the application against SF

During development you often have a SF and the application running against the SF. However, both have the same icon. Is there an option to change the icon for the application when it's running against the SF?

Custom complete creation settingsOpen

With the release of 2021.3 you have the option to run the complete creation instead of executing the deployment step by step (generate definition, validate definition, generate source code, execute source code, run unit tests). You have three options complete, selected and selected start with none. In my opinion a fourth option is missing. This option would be custom. For example some project always use smart upgrade method having this option selected by default would be helpful. Second. If there is a custom schedule this schedule should be selected automatically when opening the execute complete creation task.

Add templates with modification options to Code OverviewCompleted

Changing and finding certain objects currently is a hassle. If the template is not the object name you have to go to Code Overview find the object, go back to functionality find the control procedure and change the template. When multiple templates are assigned you might have to repeat this process several times. Or when you have to change multiple objects on the same main object (table/task etc.) Code Overview is a perfect way to get insight in the available objects. Why not give the option to modify the templates directly on this screen, or have a link to the functionality screen? This would save a lot of time and clicking between screens. This also makes programming easier since I often have to change the trigger, ctx, layout etc.. on the same object.

Assign rights based on objectMerged

When assigning rights to new objects you have to select the role's manually. It would be very helpful if there was an option to set the rights based on a different object. Adding this functionality would remove the manual labour to find all roles that have access to the reference object. example:task A on table T1 has full rights for the roles role1, role2, role5 now there is a new task: task B on the same table. I want to set the rights on the same roles as task A. So task B would be full access for roles role1,role2, role 5

Deactivate Execute merge session when there are unresolved merge conflictsDeclined

On a merge session if there are merge conflicts you can still press the button execute merge session. However this will result in an error message since there are still unresolved conflicts. Since it makes no sense to execute the session in this state deactivate the Execute merge session button when there are unresolved merge conflicts.

Is it possible to set import standards per subject

Are there options to control the excel import function per subject? What i would like to do is by default set the following options for 1 subject: tickbox for: import use clipboard (ticked) tickbox for: column names are translations (ticked)

Do not copy reference indexes when copying a tableClosed

When copying a table in the SF the references are not copied, however the indexes that are used for the references are. These indexes no longer make sense since you don't have the reference on the new table. So please remove these when copying a table.

Create new Domains on the DB without generating the entire projectClosed

I would very much like to have an option to generate a specific (new) domain without having to generate the entire project. During development it can become very time consuming to have to generate the project every time you add some domains. My suggested changes: In the Domains screen add a view to create the domain to the db (which would work just like functionality - result) in the Creation - Upgrade step: add some logic to check if a domain already exists (and is not altered).

Add Licensing access test to indicium deployerOpen

The current deployer checks several things for indicium if IIS is present, .net core hosting etc. It would be great to also have a check if the licensing page is accessible. More often then not this is not the case. It would spare a lot of time during deployment if this could be checked with the deployer.

Remove reference from model tickbox active by defaultDeclined

When removing a reference from the data model you have the tickbox "Remove reference from model”. By default this tickbox is turned off. Would it not make more sense to have it active by default? Most times if you remove the reference from the design model you also want to remove it from the model it self.

Show SQL query in path locationDeclined

The path location screen and debug screen are very helpful. But why not combine some functionality? During trouble shooting you have to look at the debug screen a lot to find the select query that builds a part of the screen. And you also have to find the correct code (for some screens this can be 5 or 6 selects). Why not show the select code in the path location screen? This would save a lot of time during trouble shooting.

Show the applied objects per Translation objectClosed

To Make the translations screen easier to use please add either a badge with the number of objects for a specific translation or add a reference showing the objects. Now If i want to rename a column i first have to check if the column is used more than once. If the translations screen would show me the translation object is used only once i can safely change the translation.

Hide unnecessary default Rename/Delete button and editable fieldMerged

There are a lot of unnecessary default Rename/Delete buttons and changeable fields in the application. Since there are tasks to do this on the screen, and the tasks actually work better. And in most cases the tasks is the only rename/delete that works. Example: trying to rename a domain that is used by editing the record will give this error: Cannot update this row due to related 'Columns'. Please update or delete these 'Columns' and try again. Instead you need to use the rename task. If there is a task to rename that actually works better, then hide the default rename field and delete buttons to avoid confusion. These editable fields and not usable delete buttons are all over the application: domains, tables, process flow, functionality etc.

Add procedure name to tasks, control procs and triggers for easier troubleshootingOn the backlog

When an application has a lot of triggers, nested procedures or tasks within tasks troubleshooting can become rather tricky. Luckily SQL provides some tools for this, namely the profiler and extended eventes. However, it is still rather time consuming to figure out which triggers and procedures are running during execution of a task or update statement. I know there is already the template naming in the procedures, however this does not give you the task name or the type of object it is and therefor is not very useful during troubleshooting a task that gives an error. Therefor it would be very helpful to add the stored procedure or trigger name directly after set nocount on and also show the type (trigger or stored procedure). something like this: -- Do not count affected rows for performance set nocount on -- type: trigger -- name: player_position_td Then during troubleshooting you can capture all nocount on events, "set nocount on" and comments directly afterwards can be

Set default value of max no of records to 100Open

The default value of max no of records for universal is 100. However the parameter in subjects is set to blank. Blank acts like 100. This is very confusing and not intuitive. My suggestion is to set the default to 100. And have blank act like unlimited.

How do i use expand in indicium?

How do I use the expand functionality in indicium? Whatever i try i always end up with invalid odata url. I tried creating an expand statement based on the documentation, either the documentation is incorrect or I am missing something here. https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/indicium/api#expandthe community wont allow me to add the link I use so i added a picture. I tried on tablename, id name, lookup name. Nothing seems to work.

Show Platform version inside the About screenCompleted

In my work, I support a lot of different clients, all possibly running on different platform versions. The Windows GUI version is not the same as the Platform version and can therefore differ significantly. The Universal GUI does already offer a Platform version in its Info screen.I would like to see the Platform version in the About screen. This way I have a quick way of knowing the client's platform version when I work with them.
