To give better insight into the status of the indicium layer a visual representation in the windows GUI would be really helpful. To implement this a traffic light system could be used.
Green: indicium is active and available
Yellow: indicium is active but there is some kind of error in the log. (for example when the license server can't be reached.
Red: indicium did not respond

This idea is only applicable for the 2-tier Windows GUI right? When the 3-tier Windows GUI, arrives the Indicium will be a mandatory factor in using applications, thus making a traffic light option obsolete. Do you still need this idea to be implemented?
Depending on how the 3-tier windows GUI works this idea could become obsolete on it's arrival. I'll leave this up to the development team.
