Hi, is it possible to display hidden columns in the export as well?

Hi @Niels Koop,

I don't know which GUI you are using (should you have any follow-up questions, please do mention this), but I would expect the behavior to be the same. There are 2 ways of hiding a column.

On column level

You can hide the column completely on column level.

Locations in SF:

  • menu Data > Data model > tab Tables > tab Columns
  • menu User interface > Subjects > tab Default/Variants > tab Columns

Consequences in end product:

  • Field visible: no
  • Available for filtering: no
  • Available for manual sorting: no
  • Available for export: no

On component level

You can hide the column on a component level, for each component you use in the respective screen. Let's say you do this for the Grid, Form and Card list.

Locations in SF:

  • menu User interface > Subjects > tab Default/Variants > tab Components > tab Grid
  • menu User interface > Subjects > tab Default/Variants > tab Components > tab Form
  • menu User interface > Subjects > tab Default/Variants > tab Components > tab Card list

Consequences in end product:

  • Field visible: no
  • Available for filtering: yes
  • Available for manual sorting: yes
  • Available for export: yes

Conclusion

As an answer to your question: yes, it is possible, but this will also result in the field being available for matters such as filtering and manual sorting.
