SF - tagging records and objects for impact analysis

Related products:Software FactoryIntelligent Application Manager

Hi Community,

Quite often I browse through an SF-project, making notes on paper, copying object names to another application or exporting lists to a spreadsheet for an impact analysis.

Later, when implementing a change, I do the reverse: read the notes from paper, looking up the objects in the SF and making some changes.

Can this process get some support in the SF? Specifications screens, upfront, are available, but they work best for new projects and feel top-down.

I am looking for a bottom-up solution, where I might tag records and objects with a change ID (and maybe a note). When done, I’d have a look in the overview screen to get a feeling of the impact and the time needed for a change. When actually implementing the change, a prefilter on all screens, or a direct link from the overview screen, would be great.

If this is already possible, please leave a note how to accomplish this!
