Why are all indexes rebuilt during a smart upgrade

We currently use the Thinkwise 2023.3 product. It seems that in this version all indexes are being rebuilt when doing a smart upgrade.In the current version of our application only one new table is introduced, but it takes much longer than in the previous version of the SF (2023.1) we used. Hundreds if of indexes are created, so the upgrade takes longer than expected.Anybody else have experienced this? Is this new in this version and if so, why? Can't it be “smarter”?

Maps data mapping limited to maximum of rows/markers?

We have a (detail) dataset with 65 rows with x-y coordinates, which we like to show on the map.For some reason only 50 items are visible on the map.Is there a maximum number of markers that can be shown on a (detail) map?

Data being cut off in excel column DevExpress

HI!I have an issue with displaying the data in a cell. We created a report in DevExpress and want to make it displayable in an excel sheet. All data is shown correctly in every cell. However in one cell the data is cut off and not all data is visible.The cell has the options 'Can shrink', 'Can grow', 'Multiline' and 'Word Wrap' enabled.What can I do to ensure that the entire text is visible?Attached are printscreens of the report.Kind regards,Linde

Word wrap multiline in Cardlist (repsonsive)Open

When using a Cardlist the columns are not responsive. Example if you have a description of a product of say 70 characters and you use a small size screen that you would want the descrption to be displayed over two lines. Now the last characters are not visible.Now it’s not responsive

Set number of copies in process flow report

How do I set the number of copies in a process flow which calls a report. I added the gui_rpt_number_of_copies parameter. I give it a value in the default of the task which triggers the process flow. I added a parameter gui_rpt_number_of_copies in the process flow. The parameter gets its value, but in the report step the parameter is set to 1.

Secure deletion of files

Is there a way to securely delete a file from Thinkwise which for example is stored in Azure (Files), on a local filesystem (share) or other type of storage device?The requirement comes from a GDPR related specification which states that it should be possible to securely delete a file by:Overwriting it’s contents with random data to make it non-reproducable Overwriting it’s contents by encrypting the file (and throw away the key)

Disable the PWA installation option

Due to a problem we have with the OpenID Connect authentication provider in combination with PWA we would like to disable the “Install as PWA” from the menu so end-users cannot use this functionality and just use the browser based variant. Does anyone know if and how PWA installation can be disabled?

Code search using multiple search strings, matched using AND/OROpen

I'd like to be able to perform a Code search in the SF using multiple search strings, instead of the one string we currently provide. I'd also like to specify if the search should match all (AND) or match any (OR) of the conditions.Example 1:Search for code that contains “model_id” AND “branch_id”.Example 2:Search for code that contains “status = ‘planned’” OR “status = ‘in_progress’”Should you have any thoughts on how this should be presented in the UI, considering the available space in the screen, please reply in the comments.

Default display type setting per branchOpen

As a developer, I would like to be able to set the default display type of a table task in the project for more consistency within the application.Currently, every table task you add defaults to the "Icon+text (>text >icon)" display type, while we prefer "icon only" by default. So, as a developer, you need to manually adjust this for every new table task.If you can set this default in your project and it is applied automatically, it will reduce the chance of errors and increase consistency in your application because it will be displayed in the same way.

Have separate icon for a filter when Active and when Inactive (on/off)On the backlog

Goal is to have a separate icon defined for a filter when Active and a different one for Inactive. We came to a situation where we need to have a filter icon more visible towards when active or inactive. Currently the only separation between the 2 states is the underscore under the icon itself.The idea is to be able to define the icon for Active like and when Inactive likeWe can use icons of opposite state for defining the Active and Inactive state.

Remove 'Code review required' setting and require it always.Open

Code review is one of the most important methods to improve application quality. Code review, in my opinion is not an optional step. Therefore I think we should remove the option to disable code review. Non-reviewed code should always throw a validation message.For the people flying solo, at least use the AI code review feature…

Code review being mandatory is a global SF setting right now.sf_configFor some models, you don’t want to mandatory code review. For instance if you have a model where only one developer works on.Alternatively, make an overwrite setting per model/branch that overrules the default setting in sf_config.

Pagination and max no of records in Universal 2024.1.13

Pagination in Universal is a nice new feature in 2024.1.13. However, it appears that the number of pages for a table is maximized to the modeled number of "max no. of records" for a table.For performance reasons with the Windows Gui, we have provided some tables with a maximum number of records, but in Universal this is not necessary with pagination.It is even inconvenient because some of the records are no longer accessible.Or am I missing something?

Getting a -5 from a generate report action which should only go as low as -4

Is it possible that the docs was not updated https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/process_flows_connectors#generate-report ? it says theres a status code as low as -4 but i am getting a contraint error on the output parameter because it is trying to output -5. Now i am not 100% sure there isn’t something weird going on in my process and the -5 is coming from somewhere else. But to rule it out would be nice to get some confirmation. Thanks.

What is the purpose of Process actions right in roles?

What is the purpose of being able to enable/disable process actions in a role? The reason asking is that when one action is not enabled, the whole process flow is not granted and therefor not working.Here an example situation:Example of a simple process flowThere is a table task on several screens which all execute the same type of action and flow to opening a report. For management it is easy to have all entries in the same flow.In a role only one or limited screens need to be available to the user, so only those parts of the flow need to be accessible I would think. Lets say the first line in the example and not the Pink and Green marked ones.Another consequence is when you are developing and adding a new screen with the same task and you add it to the flow. Let say the Green marked one. Now in all role that have this flow, the functionality is broken, because there is a new action available even though that would not touch anything in the old roles. Catch HTTP Errors

With an HTTP connector within a custom protocol process flow we make a call to an external API and in certain scenarios it returns an expected 404 code as response. How can we ensure that such a 404 response is not written as an error in the Indicium log? We like to keep the log file as clean as possible.

Object not found error

Although there is a solution mentioned about 8 months ago to solve this problem (disabling auto-edit), this is not possible for our solution. We make use of the form list functionality which depends on auto-edit being always “on”. The seconds possible cause is that we make use of state changing forms. This means that a user enters data in the form and when done, clicks on a task-button to post the form to be processed by a backoffice system. The task-button starts a process which performs additional validation and when successful posts the form. The posting of the form changes the state of the form by which it is no longer visible to the end-user and the form is automatically closed using a process task. The form is closed, but this does not prevent presenting the “Object was not found...” error message. We know that the form is no longer available (due to no longer complying to the filter condition of the variant), but cannot find a way to suppress the error message.

As there are a few bigger online workspace providers out there it would be great if Thinkwise would support these out of the box. Primarily we are missing OneDrive support for companies that use Microsoft 365 and Google Drive support for companies that use Google Workspace.

Drag & drop also with cardlist.On the backlog

The backlog of the Universal GUI is really missing drag and drop from a cardlist. In a web-environment a card-list is quite often used (at least we do) and it is really a pity that apparently the drag-drop functionality will not be implemented for this component. I would really like to see drag-drop also from cardlist aside the grid and tree.

How can I show progress in the execution of a multirow task?

I have a multi row task that starts a process flow. This process flow executes HTTP requests for the selected rows. Now I want to show progress (tsf_send_progress), but this progress is not shown in the Windows GUI. When I look in the debug tab I can see the messages are sent.How can I show progress?

Hi everyone!We’ve released the following platform improvement this week: IAM 2022.2, 2023.1, 2023.2, 2023.3 20240415 - Corrected effective variant rights Indicium did not always received the correct rights for a variant with a different form layout then its base. This has been corrected. For IAM 2023.2, an additional hotfix came out to resolve an issue: 20240417 - Remove label width and field width from col form function SF 2023.1 20240419 - Correct deletion of delete strategy program object When combining the staged and delete strategies, there was a small chance that program objects were not set stale upon generating definitions which could lead to code being omited from a generated code file. This has been fixed.
