Restore the default configuration of a subject (user preference)

Related products:Windows GUIIntelligent Application ManagerUniversal GUI

It's great that the user is able to configure the subject, but unfortunately the user has no option to return to the default configuration.

Sometimes we have to reset values in IAM. It would help if the user could just restore the default configuration in the user preference.

Hello @Andre te Raa, how did you manage to restore the default configuration from iam?

Hi @ElenaTodirenchi, if your problem is in terms of layout. you can restore someones personal preferences by going to IAM > Users > User Preferences > (the preference you want to reset, for example Columns (path based), if you delete everything in here the user will have the default layout again.) (PS. I had to find this out myself the hard way, so it might not be the best way there is)

Thank you @Max Ferket, it seems like the default configuration ‘came back’ after the last update :)

I think that the user should have the option, and that int should be possible to just instruct users to use this option when things might be out of order.

I’m going to disable most options at this moment, as I’m afraid that users loose track on what they changed, with the result that they don’t understand tutorial videos and get in a bubble with their own settings.
