Cannot safe a self-reference in Universal (Loading dataset lookup failed. Error: bad_request)

Anyone an idea on what's happening here? Universal is working, but when we want to add a self-reference the indicium log-file is full of the errors below.

I think it was a combination of generating a new version and clearing cache. Error disappeared.

Some additional questions: 

What version of the GUi are you using?
And have you checked the dev tools for additional error information?
