Hi,

In the related topic (solved) "Status cube features” there were two things not supported and not yet planned:

  • Setting the column width
  • toggling of the category (row) subtotals

What is de status of these features?

In another related topic (solved) "Filter field for a cube in Universal” the answer was "a solution is on its way”.

What is the status of those filters?

Finally, in the related topic (solved) "set field width, and block first columns of a pivot in the Universal GUI” the final answer were "It is on our backlog, but not planned for in the list of features for Q1.”

When are those features (block first columns and settting fields width) planned?

For your information: we've using a pivot/cube with detailed information per day over 6 weeks. A smaller column width can show much more information in one screen in stead of scrolling al the time and blocking the first columns (dimensions) helps to know what a figure means when you've scrolled right.

Example:

The column width is way too wide:

Example 2:

If I scroll to right (and the dimensions are not shown anymore) I only can see two more days. With a smaller width I wil see much more.

And what means the red marked field? Because we lose the first columns (see first example) you don't know what a figures means.

Hi @Casper, to start with I can recommend you to keep an eye on this topic, I keep the first post up to date with current priorities and planning for the missing Universal GUI features.

More specifically, we are currently working on the Pivot column width and I expect that to be shipped with the next Universal GUI 2024.3.13 release. Subsequent sprint we will continue with the Fixed columns.

For filtering I suppose you are referring to being able to filter on the Dimensions. Please know that @luukschouten raised a couple of issues in TCP on your behalf, so you can also specifically follow the progress there and optionally raise Urgency of tickets in case an important Milestone is on the horizon for which a fix is a pre-requisite.

Hi Arie,

Thank you for your quick and thorough response. I am looking forward to the new version and, of course, the subsequent ones as well. Our users will be happy with these fixes.
Furthermore, I am indeed still in contact with Luuk regarding information about the tickets.

@Casper As a first step, with the upcoming Beta release the default behavior of the Pivot grid will be as below:

  • Auto-sizing the Dimensions width
  • Default Value column width of 110px (which can be overwritten with the Field width (px) setting in Business Intelligence > Cube Cube fields > Cube view field)
Default Cube behavior Universal GUI 2024.3.13
