A client has a specific wish to be able to authorize process actions within a Process flow. The case is that there are two different roles, namely Opportunity and Assignment. Each of these roles have access to a task that changes the Status of an Opportunity. The difference between the roles is that:User1 with Opportunity role → can change the status and create an opportunity after User2 with Assignment role → can change the status and create an assignment afterThe process flow starts when activating this task and to determine what the next action is, we would like to apply authorization. User1 should only be able to create an opportunity after executing and not an assigment and User2 vise versa.Alternatively someone would say, why not make two tasks? The problem is there are also users with both roles and they would see the same task twice so that option doesn't work sadly. The task in combination with the process flow needs to be able to alter it's course on the basis of the users’ r
Is it possible to enable a warning to tell the user if their Caps lock is turned on? I know that the Windows GUI does have it but I don't seem to be seeing it nor being able to enable it for the Web GUI, hence the question. Kind regards, Mark Jongeling
People make mistakes, sometimes small, sometimes big. I would like to be able to change the title of my Community topics in case I make a mistake. Even if I'm only able to change it within 10 minutes after posting. Could it be made possible?
I would like to get notified that my Caps lock is on when I'm entering my password into a Web GUI application. This will make it inline with the Windows GUI.
When using the Formlist and having mandatory fields, if I don't enter a value in the field, the GUI will give me a message stating that I didn't fill in a value for Field X. The problem is that due to the table construction and overall layout, the column name does not indicate which empty field is the problem. Here the implementation (in Dutch):ImplementationIn the implementation, a Formlist is used to have a label on the left side and a input field on the right. But the field on the right can be different each row. For instance, it could be a Yes/No field, a Numeric field or a Alphanumeric field; like in the screenshot above. In this case the user didn't fill in the correct salutation but the message does not explain that; it refers to the field. If there would be a way possible to influence the way the Mandatory field error message and show a translation, this whole challenge would be solved. Then 'Alphanumeric value’ would be replaced by 'Salutation for Man’.
When developing it can be easy to create new objects and validate after all development is done. This can mean that you have used disapproved object names and have created and even deployed all kinds of objects with this disapproved name. Having to rename all these objects can be a pity.It would be nice if during adding or editing objects, that I would be notified that my object name matches with a disapproved sub name. This could be inside the default procedure throwing a pop-up message explaining to me which sub name is used but disapproved.
As discussed here https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/ideas-18/filter-in-treeviews-without-losing-parent-nodes-279 it would be very handy that parent nodes stay in the treeview when filtering. I've had numerous occasions that I filter and lose all parent nodes and giving me no information about the parent or the parent of the parent. So I would like to see the parent nodes of entries whenever I filter in the way how Arjan described: I usually solve this by using a hidden column, which contains the filter value of the parent node.
Inside the cube I would like to filter from time to time to only see records that I'm interested in. I can use the short-key Ctrl+R and the Filter option is available through the Top-bar, but the option to filter is not available when I right-click inside the cube. I would like to see Filter (and search) clickable through this menu.
I think it should be called Subscriptions.
When setting Control procedures to the Inactive state, it is not possible to enter a reasoning to why the control procedure has been made Inactive. This may cause confusing to why a certain Control procedure is now inactive.Having a place/field to give in a reasoning can take this confusion away. (Maybe this can be done for all objects that can be inactive such as Unit tests)This field could, for example, then be shown in the Form of the Control procedure screen once the Control procedure is Inactive.
When working with the Windows GUI there's a Help button in the top right of the application. This gets its data from the Model. While it's very handy to have this functionality, when it's not set up and thus does not contain any content, it might confuse the user.I of course recommend every developer to fill the helptexts with information the user might need and answer the questions that might raise during usage.
