I have some difficulty putting a post on an internal timeline if it says "17 days ago" or "2 days ago". Is that newer or older than my question from the first week of February? Did someone answer this weekend after my post or was that last Friday before I posted? It would be nice to have a format like: "January 27, 17:53 (about two weeks ago)" Would that be possible?
During an upgrade of an application it is handy to have backups available, but once normal operation ensues, they are out of date. If it turns out that there is a critical problem a day after the upgrade, and a solution takes too much time, a roll back could be a preferable option. At the moment we tend to give roll back as an option for risk mitigation, but lacking tools it is a last option in case of data model changes. Restoring a backup would mean losing a day’s work, while a roll back would only lose data in the mismatch between the two data models. Is it a lot of trouble to generate a roll back script including reverse data migration in addition to the regular upgrade script?
In Universal a tab variant is shown, and a variant of a detail is reachable. The variant detail is displayed by Universal as the screen type on the default table, not as configured on the tab variant. Is this supposed to work in 2019.2 ?
I found this button, “Convert runtime configuration” (the little exit-icon in the screenshot, left of the trash can), in the 2020.2 SF. What does it do? I fed it an ini-file, as a reply I got “The ini file does not contain a project id.”, which is true.
Code search returns each occurrence of the search term as a result, showing 23 results for two templates that only differ in the line numbers. Clicking one of the results does often show the template, but does not jump to the line number that is mentioned.Often I only need to know the templates (or other objects) that contain the search term; as ‘code search’ does not allow editing or generating code without opening it in an editor, I have to open the underlying object anyway. For me it would be handy to have a single line per object result, and instead of a line number, a count of the number of occurrences.I imagine the change would be minimal, only involving a group by and a count.
Hi all,I'm facing the dreaded “Indicium has abandoned me” message from IAM: Usually it is a case then of just comparing server and database name with the configuration of Indicium in ISS, perhaps running Indicium standalone to find errors. In this case the database is managed by one party, and the web server by another party. I can not just compare the names with the settings, because I don't have access to crucial bits of the infrastructure. What I can do though, is forward the correct information for the parties so they can make the changes. Now when this error is shown, IAM already knows on which server and database it is running. What do you think about having the generic error above extended with a bit of information along these lines:Expected MetaSourceConnection in appsettings.json:“Server”: “db32.mycomp.com\\test",“Database”: “mycomp_dev_iam_prod”,"PoolUserName”: please provide a service account with at least db_owner role“PoolUserPassWord”: please provide the corresponding pas
As in subject: since expression fields are not implemented on the database, why are they defined in the datamodel section of the SF, instead of in the subject section?
