Translation not being applied in Universal GUI

Forum|alt.badge.img+3

We have a certain translation for a table variant that is being displayed correctly in the Windows GUI, but not in the Universal GUI. What are the steps we can follow to troubleshoot this?

Niels I don't think we will resolve this here. Could you submit a ticket in TCP and add model export to the ticket? That way I can import the model and try to reproduce the problem at hand.

I assume you mean the translation is not showing in universal but instead you see the translation object? For example [table1]. In universal do you see translations for other objects it might be that you use a different language in universal?

Does the translation show for the default table? And also does the variant have the translation tickbox checked in subject?

No there is a translation showing, however the strange thing is that the translation cannot be found anywhere else in the application. (Looked it up via code search and in the translations tab). I have another variant which is identical to the variant I am using for this feature, and the translation is working there. And like I said, the translation is being properly displayed in the windows gui, so it does know what to use. This seems like a universal gui bug.

Can you clarify using some pictures of the translation in the gui and the translations screen in the SF? Also is this problem occurring when running the applications against IAM or SF? If IAM could you try the SF instead?

Table variant translation:

Regular table translation:

All:

The text displayed in Universal GUI is ‘Connected Assets’, which I cannot find anywhere in our translations.

I don't understand what you mean with running the application against the iam or sf. Does this have to do with dev environments and staging environnment?

Two questions:

  1. Have you synchronised your changes to IAM?
  2. Does the problem persist when using a private browser window or another window? If not, this could be an issue with your browser cache.

Hi Robert,

I am testing this in a DEV environement so I do not need to sync changes, all other translation changes are displayed immediately. I have also tested this in a private browser, where I get the same result.
