Snapshot creation SQL SERVER

Tried to create a indexed view using snaphot and template .

• defined snaphot
• added columns
• tried ‘meta costum’  , ‘meta  auto’ to see if i can generate the view  but get error ( [PROVIDED_OBJECT_NOT_A_VIEW]  ) 
• tried ‘template’ 
• But cant find a code group containing the program object to create the snapshot. (its not under view )

For Oracle and DB2 we have been supporting snapshots for quite some time, but for SQL Server we haven't come to develop it yet.

Is it in the planning to be developped  for  sql sever ?

If not :

Coold it  be included in the documentation that sql server is not supported 

and maybe the option turned off for sql server
