Popups in the universal don't react on the settings from the model. However the width is set on auto but it stays small, when I however change it manually to 75% it becomes bigger. So how does auto relate?  We can do custom css but is that future proof, or do the css classes change due to the generation?

Can you post some screenshots to clarify the problem you are experiencing?

When you create a task in Universal the popup is by default 1 column wide like in the windows GUI. When you give column a custom width to increase the width of the popup but this doesn't work it stays small in width.  Now we've added custom css to increase the width of the popup. But do these classes get generated, which could lead to the scenario that the custom css doesn't work anymore because of a newly generated CSS class?

The form in the popup can grow up to 3 columns wide. This amount will be decreased by 3 variables:

  1. “No. of cols in form” setting in the SF.
  2. Available space on the screen.
  3. Number of controls in a group. Multiple controls in the same group could flow in multiple columns.

I wouldn't suggest you to use custom CSS to adjust this.

For a task popup with a single input on it, there is currently no way to make it more wide by default now. You could bring up a community idea for this now.
