Question

Set focus not to combined filter when subject is opened from a process flow

Forum|alt.badge.img+14

Is there a method the focus does not ends up in the combined filter, especially when we are opening a subject from a proces flow. We apply a filter and we want the focus to be set to the filtered line.
Now we always need to do a user action to select the line again.
In this case we activate a tree structure in the correct node.
The selected node is highlighted but the focus is set to the combined filter, so we always need to select the line again before we’re able continue to work.

Hi Edwin!

The focus is placed on the most logical place on opening of a screen, which is on the most top left interactable item, more often than not the combined search.
Removing/relocating the combined search would skip the action bar and place the focus in the next most logical interactable component, like a grid (see these release notes). Thsi should place the focus on the first cell of the first row.

Also, are you aware of the proces actions with which you can set the active row?

We face a similar issue that the focus is set on the combined search on opening the screen also from the menu. But for users with a tablet, then by default the keyboard is popping up, so that is not preferred behaviour.
Since we updated to the 2026.2.14 release, our users with tablets are complaining about this behaviour.
Can we prevent this?
