I am trying to synchronize the tool but when i run the peak filters, it keeps canceling itself and not calculating all values.

I'm unfamiliar with this kind of notification. Are you running a task with Await result set to No? This will make sure the task is run in the background and its progress can be viewed in the Running tasks popup. In the Windows GUI, in the topright corner is an arrow icon. Pressing that opens the popup.
I think some error is occurring during the execution of the task. If you see a red cross, press on it and inspect the error. The message should indicate what is going wrong.
