We recently started using Universal as replacement for the mobile GUI and we ran into the following issue.
For readability we use a cardlist to show the data but there are some fields that contain strings that are longer than the width of the screen:


the tooltip shows the content with wordwrap:
 

Can we display the data in a similar way on the cardlist?

There is currently no setting for this within the SF. If you feel this could benefit other developers then feel free to create an idea for this in the ideas section. Alternatively you could try to achieve this with custom CSS.
