Is it possible to have Default values in the FilterForm?

Kinda like the defaults concept, where you have the option to supply default values for a property, except you set the default value for the filter, and this value is used when the data is retrieved from the database.

For example a date filter like below. The 'expected arrival' filter should be filtered on a date range. E.g. between 'TODAY' and TODAY+7 days.
This gives the end user direct information about the filter that has been used.



The default filter on date could be solved with a set of prefiters. Except that the user does not get an indication about the actual date filter that has been used for this filtering, making this a less than ideal situation.
