Hi,

I was wandering if there is a way to hide a menu item based on some logic (like in a context procedure where you can hide task buttons)? This could for instance be as simple as when there is no data available.

We are using Universal 2024.1.13.0

Hi @Robert Wijn 2,

Unfortunately this is not possible, as context logic is bound to the rows within a subject. Currently there is no alternative available to achieve this behavior.

It may be wise to consider whether this is the most desirable solution for your needs, as users in this case may not be aware of which menu items are potentially available. This could also cause confusion about whether users have the correct rights for a menu item. As a result, they may ask the IAM administrator, even though it is not actually a rights-related issue.

Ji Jeroen,

Thanks for the clarification. In our case it is based on data-visibility (aka data authorization) and depending in which team your are currently and with which role. This is managed by a team lead and nothing to get the IAM admin out of bed for 😉.
