Hide add button in GUI but still be able to add a row through a task processflow

Currently when i set my @add_button_type to hidden in the layout logic, my process flow that contains an add row process action does not work.

Is there a way i can keep it hidden in the GUI but still be able to use it by clicking on a task which then activates a process flow to add a row?

What is the reason to hide the normal add button if they are allowed to add with a task anyway?
