Error from ReportMailer: Failed to attach the attachments. Will not send the email.

When sending emails with TSFReportMailer I sometimes see the following error message:

Failed to attach the attachments. Will not send the email.

This happens when the attachement(s) do(es) not exist or when there is a special character in the file name. Especially when the character “&” is used in the file name, this results in the above error message. Why? This is a valid character for a file name, right?

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to translate this error message?

Goodmorning Johan,

This error needs more debugging and can be considered a bug. I created an issue for it in TCP for you with issue number: 79091 .

The error is not translatable currently. If you would like that, feel free to create a topic in the Ideation section.

Kind regards,
Mark Jongeling

Hi Johan,

I will find out for you why this is occuring and you will hear soon from me.

For the translation of the error, I believe this is hardcoded into the TSFReportMailer but I will confirm this with the team.

Have a good evening!
