I want to hide the default null value of a combo element without setting it a default value type.
Basically I want to hide the first empty row of a combo element that contains elements.

This is not possible. This would also negate the option to clear the field. What's the use case in wanting to do this? It seems like using a default to guide the user in the right selection is a better route. Perhaps if you can clarify why you would want this the community can further assist you with the problem you are trying to tackle.
