Default closed menu in Windows GUI

In our application we use a list-bar menu.
To allow users to use the maximum space on their screen we want the menu to be (auto-)closed by default.
The user can do this himself by clicking on "Auto hide". The menu will then be automatically hidden/shown.

We have found that this can be set in IAM by making an entry in the user preferences at [Global] and leaving the checkbox for menu empty. The disadvantage is that this must be set for each user (possibly with a script). Not exactly an elegant solution.

Is it possible to set this at application level in IAM?

Hello Marc,

Good question! Unfortunately I have to answer by saying that this is currently not possible. However, IAM does already provide the option for a couple of preferences at the application level, which currently includes the options to hide specific columns, task and/or report parameters. Theoretically it should be possible to include the options currently present at the global level in user preferences as well.

Could you perhaps create an idea for this? Then we can take it into consideration for possible implementation in the future!
