Hi,

we are using both Windows as Universal UI in combination with Windows authentication.

As we have users who only have a handheld device (phone or tablet), we wonder if those users would be able to change their (AD) password from within the Thinkwise application:

  1. on request
  2. on password expiration (set in AD)

Currently the user is locked when the password expires and there isn't an option at that moment to create a new password.

Thanks

Changing the AD password from a thinkwise application is not possible.

As a workaround you could look into using OWA (outlook Web access) which can be accessed as a website to change the password.

hi Erwin, thanks for the confirmation that it's not possible.

Also a pity as we mainly use AD-accounts to have a generic way of arranging authorizations within our IT landscape and now we need to find a workaround.

I will create an Idea to have this functionality in within Thinkwise.
