Azure SQL Database for Software Factory

Wanted to ask if there is currently in the plans, or if it is working already to have the Database of the SF in Azure SQL ?

A Goal we want to achieve, is to move everything to Azure, and as a first step just wanted to know from DB POV.

From GUI POV I suppose an on-premise machine or Azure VM is still needed and required.

As an additional note to my previous answer. The Software Factory itself only works on the Windows GUI at the moment, so you will need an Azure VM or an on-premise machine for development purposes. We are currently working on supporting the Software Factory on the Universal GUI and Indicium Universal. Once that is finished, you won’t need a VM or on-premise machine for development anymore either and you can fully work in the cloud.

Hello mperrot,

Our Universal GUI, Web GUI and Indicium can also be hosted on Azure, not just on VMs, but also as App Services. The Thinkwise Platform can be fully cloud native and scales particularly well when using the Universal GUI and Indicium Universal.
