We would like to have the option to hide the built-in action bar of a modal document in the process flow setup.

This would be useful in scenarios where the modal document serves a specific task and closing or completing the modal is already handled in the process flow.

Example use case: A modal document contains its advanced task for saving, completing, or closing a process. In such cases, the standard action bar does not add value, costs space and confuse users.

We didn’t find a way to get this done by adding code to custom.css

Hi Harm! In 2026.2.12 we introduced the option to hide either the footer or the header of modal documents in the screen type setting. Making it possible to remove the Close button.

It is currently not possible to remove the footer in a specific process flow, you will have to make a specific screen type for this. But it does fix your problem.

For more inspiration on how to use this new feature, read my blog about guided wizards.

Hi @Joshua Rietveld,

Great, I missed that, but that looks like exactly what we need 🙂

I like to try it now, but for some reason the options are missing in our TSF environment.

By the way, last week I reported that also the new option for Inline Action bar in Grids is missing.

I’ve found the problem, and it is working now.

The issue turned out to be related to the platform version. I think this went wrong last week when I upgraded to version 2026.2.12. Upgrading the databases to version 2026.2.13 solved the problem.

Anyways, we are happy that is working now and also the other option for the inline action bar in grids.
