At this moment (GUI version 2024.3.10.0) it is not possible to move or hide columns in Universal GUI.
Moving seems to be working, but it's not. When you release the column you picked up, nothing happens.
In a ticket there is mentioned it is on the backlog. Where? What release?
The option to hide, not found. Please make this consistent with Windows GUI

This is currently very confusing. Only pinning columns on the left side of the grid seems to be working randomly. And when it works it does not seem to be persistent like prefilters because the next time you open the same screen the pinned columns are gone.
Hi @avandervelden,
The option to hide, not found.
For the user you are testing this with, in the Intelligent Application Manager in Authorization → Users under the form section “User preference", have you selected a Configuration that has “Column visibility” as allowed user preference? If so, you should be able to hide columns this way:
At the moment, it only allows hiding readonly columns though, so if you need to also be able to hide editable columns, please create a TCP ticket for this.
As for dragging columns only working for pinning, we haven't implemented being able to move grid columns yet, so this is expected. When I test pinning grid columns by dragging column headers it works fine for me. Can you create a TCP ticket for this please so we can investigate your specific case? @Marius Korff
Thanks in advance!
Kind regards, Leroy Witteveen
@Marius Korff a bit of additional feedback on this one:
The dragging > pinning stuff doesn't work when no existing column is pinned yet. This is a bug.
The dragging > pinning stuff is not stored as User Preference. This functionality is meant for on-the-fly usage.
Using overflow menu > Grid > Lock columns until is meant to permanently pin until the column you want. This is already supported.
NOTE: prerequisite for having the Grid option available in the overflow menu is an assigned User Preference config to the User in IAM that allows for ‘Column visibility’ as indicated by @Leroy Witteveen, which is any other option but ‘None’ I believe.
NOTE 2: What's currently a missing feature, is the ability to change the Sort of the Grid and have that stored as User Preference, after which you could also Pin custom-sorted Columns. We do intend to work on that feature in the upcoming Universal sprint.
