To ensure data is stored in the database correctly and consistently we have to use code to fix user input. It would be great if we could put input masks on field so the user has a visual clue what to put in and how to put it in. Also this could lead to more consistent data insertion.

Be careful with phone numbers, the notation varies per situation, local, national, international

0612345678
(035)1234567
etc.

Even better if we could somehow make it work in every situation 😉

Hi Mark,

Input masks have been on our backlog for a long time, and we certainly intend to provide them in the Universal GUI.

Any idea when this will get into the planning? Would love to see this been implemented...

It would be awesome when we could apply Input Masks on other fields too (such as IBAN).

Again any news on this backlog item, any ETA when we can expect this feature?

Hi @Michael,

The status of the idea reflects the current state of affairs. The idea is on our backlog, so it is not planned yet. As mentioned in this article, unfortunately we cannot provide an estimated moment of implementation as long as the idea has not reached the status ‘Planned’.

In a few weeks we will release the 2023.2 platform version. After this, I expect we will look into planning new ideas.
