As an alternative for this idea: Some improvements on visibility of open documents | Thinkwise Community

I thought I might be able to use a badge to achieve the same result. I looked very promising, until I realized badges only know the context of the possible parent relations, not the subject itself (other than @variant_id).

If we had access to the subject’s context, like the selected row’s primary keys, or the column filters (set by the “Change filters” process action), badges could be much more versatile.

@jkruter I’m not clear on your Use Case. Could you clarify what you then intend to clarify with a Badge, which is only a single number at the moment?

While a text value in the badge would be even more useful, my use case would be just to show a sales order id (numerical PK of the selected record) in the badge.

@jkruter That’s not the intended use of the Badge logic, for which reason I have declined this Idea. We do have an alternative suggestion, please check my comment in the Idea you referred to:
