Better way to indicate code generation status vs code deployment status in functionality screen

Currently in the code deployment screen it is quite difficult to see whether or not you have already deployed your code. The icon used for this is very confusing. It is a green checkbox indicating you are finished. However, this only means to code is generated and ready for deployment.

I need a better way to identify that the code generation is completed but the code is not deployed yet. This could be resolved by either changing the current icons or set up 2 different fields to indicate the status of the code generation and a second field to indicate the status of the deployment of the code

Unfortunately, this idea has not received enough votes. I expect the situation you describe to be one of those cases where, once you know it, it becomes evident. Because we want to keep the focus on ideas that are in high demand in our Community, we are closing this idea.

@Jeroen van den Belt  many coworkers do find this an issue. Problem currently is that Voting on community no longer is the best way to receive input on the needs of developers. Ideas are only shown for max of 2 days. After that they are only visible if you manually search for it.

Therefor many good ideas do not get the votes they need. We need a better way to inform people about ideas than the current setup on community. Just a food for thoughts.

I concur with the statement of Arjan that ideas get lost in age or number of new post rather quickly. If I am not searching a specific thing that might show the Idea as an option, you will not see me vote for it. The UI method of “show more” is also not helping if you want to scroll back to something you remember seeing about 2 weeks ago or so.

Also when I sometimes see idea of several years old, I am not motivated to still vote for them.

Thank you both for your input. Even though it is important to note that we are bound by the capabilities this platform offers us, it never hurts to look at where we can improve. We will keep this in mind as a topic for further consideration.

Also, there seem to be some interesting Ideation related developments coming from our platform supplier, Gainsight. If these contribute to what is mentioned here, of if there are any other outcomes or insights, they will be shared centrally rather than through this specific idea.

Further more; we periodically review which ideas are candidates to be picked up, and age plays no role in this. As mentioned in this article: “Sometimes, an older idea may fit well in one of the projects on our roadmap”. Therefore, I would like to encourage you to keep voting for ideas you would like to see implemented, despite their age.

Given the insight that this idea is in higher demand than initially anticipated, I will reopen this idea for votes.
