The setup of a prefilter state in a variant of a subject would be more user friendly, if I can set it up with a severity only higher than the current setup in the default. Now it is possible to make a prefilter in the default with ‘on hidden’ while it is possible to change this in the variant to ‘off’. This gives the impression that the variant will respond in the way I set it up, only to find out that it has changed back to the setting of the prefilter state of the default of the subject.
If the prefilter state in the variant could be set up only from the setting of the default and upwards, (with a possible added bonus read-only ‘current default prefilter state’ field) it would be a lot clearly to the developer which options are available to use in the variant.
