Hi everyone!
We’ve released the following platform improvements this week:
IAM & SF 2025.1, 2024.3, 2024.2, 2024.1
- 20250709 - Always grant rights to public role for datatypes
-
Since 2024.1, Public rights for database objects can be revoked for the entire branch. This was also done for IAM to distribute it without Public rights. Due to an oversight, domains (user-defined datatypes) also did not receive Public rights, which meant no role had rights to these created domains. This led to issues in the 2-tier architecture, where the Windows GUI performs the database operations using your account rights, such as writing back user preferences or even logging into the application.
This has been fixed for IAM, as well as new user-defined datatypes (domains) defined in the Software Factory, always granting rights to the Public role from now on.
