We need a Web Scanning Module.

In other words to create an embedded module to be used by Universal GUI. A tool to allow you to scan a file and upload it to a file location. This is a very important feature and a lot of users will request to have this functionality on Universal GUI.

For example:

Hi, for in the future we might be able to make this available natively in the Thinkwise platform but it will most likely not be something that will be implemented soon. It is possible to look into creating a way of achieving this in combination with the Preview component.

If the Web scanning module of your choice has an API, you can use an GUI upload field, sent the file data via an HTTP connector to the API, let the API do its thing, returns data you then can store either on Disk or in the database. This might be a way that this could work I think.

For now, I'll leave this idea Open and see how many votes this idea will get

Especially in de logistics business still a lot of paperwork is used in business processes. Ik would be great if we could attach a document scanner to an application. With that you should be able to upload a file directly from a document scanner into the TW application.
