'Copied from base model' doesn't give me enough insightsMerged

Some parts of your model can be created thanks to a dynamic model or from a base model.When it's created as part of a base model the text 'Copied from base model' is show by the generation info. Not only is the label 'By control procedure' not fully correct but the data doesn't give me enough insights, because sometimes there is something wrong in the base model and I want to fix that.But then you have to answer the question in which model do I need to fix that? Which you can from the user interface......Now i need to go to the database, query the right table to look for the object and search for one record that isn't generated. Lot of work and not doable for every developer. It would help me if the value in the control procedure would display: 'Coped from base model: {model_id}'

Enhanced Default Settings in Software Factory for Column SortingOpen

We've got a nifty validation setup in our Software Factory that checks for sorting on columns that are not supported by the GUI. Pretty slick, right? But here's the kicker: we can't set this as a default on the domain level like we do for filtering and searching and as such I need to do this all by hand.I'm thinking it'd be a nice to have for our devs to streamline this process by making 'allow sort' default to 0 for columns in unsupported GUI domains. Let's make life easier for our team!

Element translation for message parametersOpen

For lots of tasks it could be usefull to use a confirmation message and when you do it's also helpfull ffor the user to include task parameters in the message.When I want to include parameters which have a domain with elements I expect that the translation would be shown but that is not the case: In this case 2 should be the translated to the 'approved’, which means a lot more for the user don't you agree?

List folder connector in combination with Azure

For a demo application we need to import files, saved to a specific azure file storage.We setup a system flow to support this: The list folder connector should retrieve all the file name s in the folder and with the decision node we should import them one by one into the database.I'm only having trouble getting the List connector to work, it needs a source folder (Absolute path to the folder that is requested).For example storage locationWith source folder https://testthinkwise.file.core.windows.net/xmlfilesBut when I copy the url of the azure file storage, as configured in the process action, indicium throws a error about the file path that is outside of the allowed base path.What am I supposed to do?

Changing and resetting passwords: Mail server uses Oauth2

We want to make use of the password reset functionality so that after a new user has been created (via the API), they can enter their new password themselves.To be able to do this, an e-mail needs to be sent and an e-mail server needs to be able to facilitate this.We make use of an online MS-Exchange. However this uses an Oauth2 authentication method and not basic authentication as described in the Thinkwise documentation. Does indicium support Oauth2 authentication for the e-mail server and if so, how do we configure this?

Multi-select: Checkbox support for non-touch devicesOpen

SituationIn some processes the user needs to select multiple rows to process at once. For example generating a sales invoice based on multiple invoicing periods.We can support these action with the default multi select action in the interface. Only on desktop devices you need to Ctrl + Click on all the individual rows. This isn’t the most easy to use action for some users. In case of a miss click you lose your selection and with the different colors it isn’t always clear what your selection is. SolutionThe solution is already at hand; put a checkbox before every row like we do for touch devices.It would be great if the user has this action available in the non-touch version of Universal as well. I would be even better if we, the developers, could setup the subject to show them by default.

Table Type: APIOpen

SituationSometimes we need to work with external data in our applications.In this case we have one, maybe two options:Create a table and a process flow with an HTTP connector to keep the data in sync. Create a view with a template that runs a CLR function which calls an API.Both of these options aren't perfect.With option 1 I’m saving data in the database which I don't want to manage, I need to setup a process flow to call the API & I need to write a procedure to merge the data. With option 2 I'm introducing an extra technology into my project with the risk of creating legacy software. This is for instance a problem on most Azure SQL databases.SolutionI would like to suggest a extra table type, ‘API’, to offer a nice and easy solution for all Thinkwise developers. For this table type to function properly we need to include two extra options in the SF:We can declare the columns as normal but should include a mapping of every column to the output of the API. Quality dashboard - Configurable guidelinesOpen

The score for the specific parts of the Quality dashboard are now calculated based on fixed guidelines by Thinkwise, like if the percentage of comment lines is 10% or above you get five stars.What if the guidelines of my company/project are higher, like say 20%, then the score doesn't make much sense to me.I think it would be beneficial to make these guidelines configurable, especially for our SI's & ISV's.

Multi level UIOpen

To make the learning experiene as smooth as possible, I think we need to option to define different levels for the same user. In this way, a new user works in a simplified user interface with only the basic functions. After gaining some experience, the user can level up to use more advanced options. Without asking the administrator to change his user group. We could facilitate to with the definition of the difficulty level on a role-level for the specific user group. For the user group Backoffice for example, maybe the role to create a customer is a ‘beginner’-task but to create an invoice is an ‘advanced’-task. Ideally these levels should be configurable in IAM so if you want two levels that should be possible but also three or five. Configuration in IAM Then, in the end application, an end user can change the difficulty level of the UI just as easy as changing its display language. Gridview User PreferenceMerged

A user can currently (if he has the rights to do so) regroup the columns of the grid, adjust the width of fields, change the sorting and create filters. A prospect, which is a software vendor, currently offers it's users the option of creating 1 or more ‘Gridviews', which can be switched between. Our GUI doesn’t support this (yet). A Gridview is a configuration of a screen (Table, View or Variant) where you can choose which fields are shown, how large they are, what the order is, what the sorting is and which filters are active. This would be a good addition to our current UP and quite possibly the SF.

Validation - 'Screen type is not used' needs to exclude used screen types with breakpointsCompleted

One of the default validations of the Software Factory is to check if some objects of the model are no longer in use. This includes the screen types. With the introduction of the Universal GUI and Breakpoints this validation needs to be updated because the screen types with specific breakpoints are never in use, but instead chosen based on screen type of the subject and the resolution of the screen in use. This results in a big lists of screen types ‘not in use’ which is clearly not the case because they are variations of screen types which are in use.

Validation for invalid domain namesMerged

As a developer you have a lot of freedom when creating domains for your project. You can choose any name you like. Herein lies a tricky situation however. The developer can also create domains, with a name the same as default data types on the RDBMS, resulting in errors when deploying the model. At the moment there are no default validations for these kind of easy mistakes, so rookie developers can create these invalid domains and don't know why they are not allowed. To make the Software Factory as easy to use as can be, it would be beneficial to included these validations.

'Create project version' could be more user friendlyCompleted

A new Thinkwise developer was creating his first project, using the e-learning. After deploying his datamodel and making a few changes in the User interface he wanted to create a new project version. Sadly here it went wrong. He used the Task ‘Create project version’ instead of ‘Copy project version’, expecting it to create a new version of his project. After a while he found out that all his work was gone and didn't knew what caused it. Maybe we should rename the task or make it a bit more clear that it is used for creating a new empty project version. This is not something you are not going to do many times, during development. Any suggestions?

Vertical Grid namesOpen

For a custom demo we needed to show many checkmarks in a grid. Normaly this is not a problem but many of those checkmarks had very long names. This created an issue because we didn't want our user to have a horizontal scrollbar for this information. To work around this we tried to create Grid names which were vertical, just like in their old application: To replicate this in the Thinkwise application we used many breaks in the grid translation of the column: I think it would be nice to make this an official feature, to show grid names vertically.

Themes - From 'Table'Completed

With the new 2019.1 release of the Software Factory, the Theme settings for tabs in the form has been renamed to 'Table' even though we still use 'Tabs' under the General settings. Shouldn't we use an uniform verb for this?

Detail Tiles - Setup orietationOpen

When using detail tiles in your screentype, you are not able to setup the orientation. The default orientation is Vertical but sometime you want it to scroll Horizontal. For example when showing the tiles under you form, where you have more horizontal space then vertical space.

Testcase recorder: change of tableOpen

My team and I want to use the testcase recorder more. However, there is one problem we have encountered: it is not possible to change tables in one test case. This limits us to recording very small steps of a single process. When we want to create a case for an entire demo scenario, this takes a lot of time. Would it be possible to include the changing of tables as an separate 'Test step'?

Suggestion to improve 'between' filter condition.Completed

When you use the filter condition 'between' you must always enter both the min and max. If you leave one empty, you will receive an error message. It would be nice if the condition would then automatically be adjusted.
