Hi all,I'm facing the dreaded “Indicium has abandoned me” message from IAM: Usually it is a case then of just comparing server and database name with the configuration of Indicium in ISS, perhaps running Indicium standalone to find errors. In this case the database is managed by one party, and the web server by another party. I can not just compare the names with the settings, because I don't have access to crucial bits of the infrastructure. What I can do though, is forward the correct information for the parties so they can make the changes. Now when this error is shown, IAM already knows on which server and database it is running. What do you think about having the generic error above extended with a bit of information along these lines:Expected MetaSourceConnection in appsettings.json:“Server”: “db32.mycomp.com\\test",“Database”: “mycomp_dev_iam_prod”,"PoolUserName”: please provide a service account with at least db_owner role“PoolUserPassWord”: please provide the corresponding pas
I'd like three buttons added to the developer-toolbar:toggle layout-procedure calls on/off toggle default-procedure calls on/off toggle context-procedure calls on/off
Some of the functionality of the SF needs other data to be present or steps to be taken beforehand. Smart upgrade requires the previous version to be available, for example. It hardly ever is. It is not super convenient to set the hidden previous version to an active state in another document, and walk through all the necessary steps in order to return to the smart upgrade and finally run the smart upgrade. In cases where it applies, it is quite clear what has to happen. I made a mock popup: Thanks for asking! Such an improvement would have my vote!
Quite often after applying a filter, or modifying a record in a filtered list, I get the offer to open the record in a new document. Great, and really helpful. The drawback is that I almost as often like to reuse that document and apply another filter (it's open anyway, so why close it and open it again?)That's a no-go of course: invisible for the users at home, the GUI has cocooned that single record in its own context, and any changes in the applied filter will only make that record become invisible. To me it is not quite clear what indicator the GUI gives to let me know that this record is the result of “this record can not be shown due to applied filters, open in new document”. If it is not too much of a trouble, I'd propose these extensions to the GUI:An indicator that this record is cocooned in its own context so that it is clear to the user why nothing is shown after applying a filter where results are expected A button to release the context, so that the document is available f
Hi all,With some regularity I use exports from grid (via the extra/export menu option).I can’t remember ever using the ‘export directly’ option, and the advanced options are always wrong by default. It would be a help for me if IAM would remember these settings. Preferably on a per-table basis, so that it also remembers which columns I’d like exported.Am I the only one?
Can we have coloured tabs in the SF? Based on whether or not the tab is in the context of the currently selected project/version?
CaseOne of the powerful features of the SF is having all functionality in a model that can be checked on integrety. Validations point at weaknesses in an implementation and point in the right direction to solve those weakneses. An application with no validation warnings and errors is inherently of better technical quality than an application with errors. A platform upgrade is easier on an application without warnings or errors.ProblemEven so, over time warnings and errors tend to creep into models.SolutionIt would be helpful to have a badge on the validations that counts the number of validation messages.BenefitsThe count can function as a very crude measure of overall quality. It would help in estimating the time needed to resolve validation hints. Exhibit 1: While validation messages are displayed, it is impractical to count them. How much time does it take to solve all warnings, if on average it takes 10 minutes per message? Exhibit 2: While the total number of messages is available
