Print files from Linux platform

Forum|alt.badge.img+13

I just read the following note in the documentation for the print file connector:

PDF files can only be printed on a Windows platform

Is this still the case? Because it would be a huge deal braker for platform independence and greatly hamper our efforts to switch to a full Linux platform for running Indicium and Universal services.

Of course we could create a tiny application just for print jobs but that would still require a Windows machine.

Hello @Roland ,

The documentation is always based on the current version of the platform, which means that it currently describes the situation as it is for the 2025.1. This means that at this point in time it is indeed not possible to print PDF files on a Linux platform.

If this is desired functionality, I would recommend creating an Idea for this so it can be picked up during future developments.

Kind regards,

Renée

Hi Renée,

Thank you. Per your advice I've created an idea for this:
