We use the windows GUI version 2024.2.13 with an ini file that does not tell anything about the used language.

When we start the application on some Windows 11 machines the login screen appears in German. As far as i can see the windows settings are all set to Dutch.

How do I make the windows GUI login screen appear in the language that is set by the Windows language?

Hey Efitskie,

When there is no specified language in the INI file, than the GUI will use the installed Windows edition language.

This means for example, the installed Windows is a German Windows edition, then the GUI will use that language.

Is it possible that the installed Windows edition is a German Windows?

If so, the “language” INI parameter can be used to set the language.

Hi @Dani,

Thank you for your response and explanation.

To me, this seems like an unusual choice. Can you elaborate on why this behavior is chosen?

Are there any options to make the login screen follow the language that windows is set to? Is it worth making an idea for this?

Hey Efitskie,

At this moment I don’t see other option to make the login screen use the Windows display language.
Yes, please create an idea for this.
