We deployed the latest Universal GUI 2023.3.13 BETA and we're trying to figure out a couple of new features. However, we don't see the Screen types or Details options in the Overflow menu.

Apart from the setting ‘Available for user preference’ on Screen Type, what other pre-requisites apply?

NOTE: We are still on TWP 2023.2 and ran all Hotfixes.

The Release Notes also state this:

Another change is that you can now place both a taskbar and a task tiles component on a screen. Previously, the taskbar would be removed. Multiple taskbars on one screen are also possible.

That sounds great, but what is the use of showing multiple taskbars and/or task tiles if it's not possible to assign Tasks to a specific bar or tile component? Or is it an indication that the below Idea will be delivered with TWP 2024.1?

Good question(s) Arie.

With “Allow for user preferences” you mean this, I guess: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/iam/users#configure-user-preferences

The new User preference settings will come available as part of the upcoming platform version: 2024.1. The release of this is expected within the first 2 months of 2024, so a little patience is required for that. We will notice this in the final release notes of the Universal GUI release.

About the task bars: we had some cases where the taskbar was shown on the first tab and stripped from the second tab. That is what we fixed by allowing a task bar to appear multiple times. It will not be possible yet to assign specific tasks to a specific bar yet. Also not in the 2024.1 version of the platform.

I hope this answers your questions.

Best regrads,
Erik
