Yesterday we updated to the newest version (2024.2) of universal, but now we have unwanted behaviour in the ‘start report’ process action within a process flow. Previously it would just open the PDF file in the browser. However, since the updates it downloads the file instead of opening it. We do not want this.

Is this a conscious change? Can we change a setting so it will open instead of download?

What report action is set up in your model for the Report? Which browser are you using and could you try a different browser? Sometimes a browser update can have effect on the application.

The report action is ‘print preview’. However, it is the same for the action ‘print’. It just downloads to the downloads folder. I use Chrome 125 and Edge Version 125.0.2535.85 and it is the same on both. It wasn’t the case with the previous version of universal we had installed.

It happens for every report we have, below is an example of one of the flows.

Could be an unintented side-effect of another ticket, but I'll leave that up to the experts. Could you create a ticket for this in TCP? The screenshots will certainly help with finding the root-cause.
