When modeling roles, you can easily verify this using Role simulation. I noticed this only works for the Windows GUI, the Web GUI isn't affected by this setting. Is this intended?
We try to only use the Web GUI (while developing) as our end users also use this GUI, not the Windows GUI. In the past we’ve encountered several issues due to differences in Windows GUI / Web GUI, so we try to keep as close as possible to the product the end users sees.

Correct.
Role simulation is not possible with the Web GUI. Feel free to create a topic in the Ideation section for this.
