I vaguely remember seeing something about that it was possible to have a drop down in the action bar with grouped filters or task. Kind of like the overflow menu.

Can’t find anything about this, so did I remember this wrong or dream this up? Or is something like this actually available in one of the newer SF/Universal GUI versions?

@Mark Jongeling

Great! TYSM for getting me to the right place again

I have two questions about how it works

  1. Since there are Task groups and Report groups, does it mean Tasks and Reports cannot be grouped together?
  2. If only one Task/Report/Prefilter is available in a group, for example due to limited authorization, will it automatically be displayed as a regular button rather than a submenu?

Both of these are not crucial but nice-to-haves

Correct, thhey belong to two different groups

I do believe it does that yes. You can verify that. If the tasks/reports are hidden by Context logic, the group should stay visible as long as at least one of the tasks/reports is visible.
