Open document as floating document - Universal

Hi,

Is there an update about the Open document process action and it's attribute to open a document as a floating document in Universal?

The following release notes show the same kind of functionality being implemented by alt + clicking a (detail) document. Would be nice to have it present in the process action as well.

Thanks!

Universal GUI version 2025.1.13.0 together with platform version 2025.1 offers support for the “zoomed detail” process action to open as a modal or floating popup.

You can read more about that in the release notes.

This Universal GUI will be released on the 12th of May. Also, the latest nightly release already contains this logic.

Note that Open as floating document is not yet available in document-related process actions.

Any idea of when this will be implemented?

Currently it is on position 24 on our backlog. Our team does about 20-22 stories per sprint, but has got some more capacity lately. So this feature could still make it onto the current sprint (ends 7 aug). It will most likely make it on the next sprint (ends 4 sept). And worst case is bumbed down in priority on more sprint but will then surely be done in oktober.
