I don't like the distinction between the colors in the default color palettes (see attached image) and would like to create a color palette myself. I would like to know if that is possible and if it's possible, how it can be done.
We have a large trade item table with 2.125.590 records. This table is visible in the application and uses a top 1000 limit (configured via the SF). A user is currently allowed to set a sorting order on 8 different columns. When a user applies a sort order on 1 column it takes up to 16 seconds for the application to show the sorted set. And Excel style filtering can't handle it all. Trying to place a filter via the Excel style filtering on a column header takes so long that I have to force close the application via the Windows Task Manager. What's the best practice for handling these performance issues? I could create a index for every possible sort column (8 in total). But what if a user wants to sort on multiple columns at once? Then the created index no longer covers the query.
We are trying to print a batch of documents with the help of the reporting service. The logfile shows : 2019-03-01 08:39:47.5227|ERROR|dev_cf_finas|115|Printer name '\\digiserver\Thinkwise_Facturen' not found in installed printers. Valid values are: Microsoft XPS Document Writer. 2019-03-01 08:39:47.5383|FATAL|dev_cf_finas|115|Something went wrong while processing this report: Printer name '\\digiserver\Thinkwise_Facturen' not found in installed printers. Valid values are: Microsoft XPS Document Writer. We are using shared printers on a specific server. It looks like it can not find these shared printers, only locally installed printers. Is there a way to get access to the shared printers?
Hi, SF version 2019.1 I want to make a scheduler for a project. But i get a error when I start the GUI. I filll out the mandatory fields for the resource_scheduler I use the right variables. With assign to subjects i try for order and for shop. But i get this error And for the visual left side shop and on the top of the scheduler order. Suggestion or help? Many thanks in advance
Hi, I have made 2 views (copy) of a table with some data - and would like to perform a search on this. I have made 2 screen types, one with a filter form and one with a Search form at the top, both have a grid below. The filter works well. In Subjects i’ve checked ‘Start empty with filter’, so this prevents (I assume..) the loading of the 1000’s of records that are not needed. I filter on a number, and it shows the corresponding lines. In filter, I expect to load all records, and search for the value, but the button ‘Search’ appears to be dead. Anything I need to check to get this working? What did i miss? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between a Search and a Filter? Filter - hides all non-matching values I suspect (but they are there in the background) Search - ? Trying to figure this out to assure some efficiency. Thanks for the input!
We have two badges. We see both of them in the debug when starting the application. One badge starts repeating conform the settings when activating the subject and stops when i close the subject, The other starts repeating immediately without starting the subject How can I prevent the repeating of the second badge ?
Hi There, We have used the report mailer (TSFReportMailer) for mailing the report to users with smtp. In windows it is working well but unfortunately when we deploy it on our IIS webserver the follewing error shows Does anyone have experience with this? The next step is to deploy to a azure enviroment! Reguards Ronald
The theme for our application was developed a long time ago (2014 with TSF G8).Because we are now using the screentype component “Prefilterbar” more often, we need to improve how this looks. When we designed this, apparently the background color was set to gradient (white to gray) but now it is not always clear when a prefilter is active or inactive. This is especially a problem in the web GUI. In the Windows GUI it does look how we would like to have it.This is how it looks in the web GUI (no clear contrast between active and inactive): This is how it looks in the Windows GUI (clear contrast between active and inactive): The same theme is used for both platforms. What do I have to change to improve the look and feel for the inactive prefilters the web GUI?
I would like to know more about the possibilities of Extenders. In my opinion I am missing a few Extender Types? The extenders which I now have available to me:

Custom_display_format
Default_editable_cube
Maps
Resource_scheduler
I seem to have read somewhere that there are Extenders available for grid grouping and multiline headers. Who can tell me more about it?
I am trying to upload a pdf file to an external server. The http-connector should sent a multipart/form-data message, consisting of an application/json part and an application/pdf part.I have constructed the message and I am able to upload a file to the server. However, the pdf file seems to be corrupted or somehow transferred incorrectly.I am reading the pdf file as a varbinary and since I am unable to insert a binary in the content-variable of the http-connector, I am forced to convert the varbinary to a varchar. I use the following code to do so:convert(varchar(max), @file_data, 1)To evaluate I have sent the message from the Thinkwise http-connector as well as from Postman to RequestBin.com. The messages arrive differently: Postman, raw, looks like this (only part of the data copied)0000000 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 0000010 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 2d 32 34 33 39 0000020 37 33 36 39 30 35 31 32 39 35 31 33 37 37 36 38 0000030 31 37 34 32 0d 0a 43 6f 6e
Thinkwise documentation recommends using SVG icons because of their scalability. Once I read this I immediately switched to the SVG format and our application is now full of them. They indeed render great and are also very easy to customize with tools such as Inkscape. The readability of the format also makes it a great candidate for scripting leading to more dynamic icons instead of just static ones. SVG seems the way to go for any gui. The problem though is that, for us at least, they often don't render well in the web application. They do appear and every button with an SVG icon works so there are no functionality issues. However they often miss color and appear in shades of grey. Here's an example: [img]https://uploads-eu-west-1.insided.com/thinkwise-en/attachment/4a78c19b-8db9-43e4-ad51-1
In some cases you want to sort a column on the database value instead of the value of the element translation. This will be faster (index) and is sometimes the order you want (e.g. months). I know there was a ini. -parameter once, but I don't want this for all columns. Is it possible to do this for one column? For example based on a domain setting?
Dear all,As per subject I’m trying to setup the SSO on the Universal GUI for part of my users and facing an issue. The documentation mentions the setup of the SSO from Thinkwise perspective which is sufficient, but there is no documentation at least for the setup for Azure/AWS/Google perspective what is actually needed. My Setup:I have a Resource group (RG) called TEST I have a VNET for the RG I have SQL server and App service in the VNET I have a Front Door having the default *.azurefd.net and my custom domain The Front Door points to my App service and redirects traffic correctly. The Indicium and Universal are installed on the App service. The whitelist of client redirect URLs in IAM is my custom domain only. For the SSO:I have done the App registration I have added the new configuration in App Service for the OpenID Microsoft authentication I have added my custom domain on App serviceProblem I face and would like some input is that,The App registration requires that the Redirect URIs
Hi, In debug-mode we see every 30 seconds a select executed which we can not seem to influence. The settings in the subject(variant) are not used (please noitice the screendumps) How can we (de)actived this or where can we find this (default??) setting ?
Multi-selecting rows is quite new in Universal. We think the functionality itself is really interesting, and that is why we tested around a bit with it. A task is able to execute multiple times, depending on the amount of rows you selected. Recently, we have added a Context procedure which disables a task in certain situations. Whenever a row is selected which does not meet the requirements specified in the Context, then the task is disabled. If you multi-select a row for which the task is enabled via the Context, then the task is enabled again eventhough a row is selected for which you should not be allowed to execute the task. Luckily, the Universal GUI shows the following message when trying to execute the task:We noticed this behaviour does not happen in the Windows GUI. There the task is executed even if one of the selected rows disabled the task. Therefore, the questions we have regarding the multi-select functionality are:Is this behaviour final in the Universal GUI? If not, is
We are currently testing the cloud-hosted Universal GUI on a few of our vessels. At sea they use VSAT internet, which is famously known for having high latency / low bandwidth.I am wondering what kind of configuration possibilities are available on the platform to optimize the performance in this situation as much as possible?A few specific issues that we encounter:On loading the Universal GUI the first time, even before login a shocking 86.8 MB of data is added to the Cache storage. What can we do to significantly reduce this amount of data?On loading the Universal GUI the browser could time-out. What could we do with our Indicium/IIS settings to make the browser wait longer for a response? On Commit we get a snackbar error that says ‘It took more than 10000ms to send all updates to Indicium.’ and the Commit is cancelled. Is it possible to increase this value somehow?Any other recommendations, be it for the Infrastructure or configuration in the SF, are also highly appreciated!
Dear Community,We only use Universal GUI as GUI in our Production environment, and of course always look for ways to push functionality to our end users as fast and with as little downtime as possible. In that regard I would like to verify whether or not it is safe to do Sync to IAM without taking the Application down?A couple of remarks:I understand that for older GUIs the User session is actively terminated, this is not the case in Universal GUI. I am talking about doing a Sync to IAM of the current Active project version in a Production environment. Example use cases: After PROD deploy of new functionality we need to straighten up some UI or Roles issues Simple User Interface-related changes requested by End users The untranslated error message in the Universal GUI is not understandable for an end user, this should be fixed so end users actually understand that some functionality might have changed due to an update: I just performed the following test (see below GIF): Login with
In the testing phase of SF 2021.1 we tried to change a process flow from using the DB connector to the new Application Connector. However, we don't seem to get this working.See the process flow below. When calling the process flow via a POST from Insomnia, we see no results. The process flow stops at the Application Connector (see screenshot below). We expected to see the next process actions in the Indicum Universal DB event log. The input of the Application Connector is as follows:How does this Application Connector work? Are we missing something?
