How can we use the cursor_to_col_id parameter in a default procedure when using Universal GUI?In this question it's mentioned this parameter only works when leaving the field by using the [Enter]-key. But using Universal GUI it's not possible to use [Enter] to leave a field.Especially if a user works on a mobile device .
I always thought that there could be one template to a control procedure, but just saw that it actually is possible to have more than one template to a control procedure.Hope that someone tell me why they use multiple templates within the same control procedure. I'd like to know the advantages of using multiple templates.
I made a process flow with (only) a message with options so I can define the actions depending on the user’s response. How does this process flow start? I presumed I could just use the message in my code and trigger the process flow with that but it doesn’t work.I want to use it in a default procedure in which I want to send a warning before deleting a row in another table. In this warning I ask ‘ are you sure?’ . When the answer is no, the process stops. It seems I cannot define a starting point in the process flow. When I use the message now, I don’t get the options in it.It has to be simple isn’t it…...if you know what to do 🙂?
Hey everyone,I would like to migrate from the Basic Indicium to the Universal Indicium. I am currently using the Basic Indicium for interfacing with another system through the web. Does the Universal Indicium support the full API interfacing features which the Basic Indicium supports? And are there any differences between those 2 types of Indicium that I should take into consideration when switching from the Basic to the Universal Indicium?
I’m trying to get the IAM login logo to show up in the Web GUI. I use SF 2020.2 with all hotfixes applied and using Web GUI 2020.2.22. In the IAM i did configure the Login Logo in the Global Settings → Login → Logo and uploaded a file. I also invalidated the caches. The Web GUI still displays the Thinkwise Logo.I know that this setting is available with the settings.ini file, but i try to keep all my application data together in the database. I have not specified an ApplicationLoginLogo property in the settings.ini file.Am i doing something wrong here, or is this functionality not available yet in the Web GUI?
When modeling roles, you can easily verify this using Role simulation. I noticed this only works for the Windows GUI, the Web GUI isn't affected by this setting. Is this intended? We try to only use the Web GUI (while developing) as our end users also use this GUI, not the Windows GUI. In the past we’ve encountered several issues due to differences in Windows GUI / Web GUI, so we try to keep as close as possible to the product the end users sees.
Is it possible to show SVG as image in a cardlist column? We have a column with a SVG-element. But when i use this column in a cardlist, the SVG-element is not translated to an image. It shows the SVG-element code instead of the image. We are using the latest version of the Universal GUI (v1.5.2).
Hi All,I have a question about using subreports in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) in Thinkwise.Currently for testing I am using Microsoft Visual Studio (using Report Server Project) to make a simple main report with a subreport. What I did was I made 2 reports (see Figure 1). First the MainReport.rdl and second the SubReport.rdl Then in the MainReport insert subreport item then right-click on subreport item then Subreport properties then under "Use this report as a subreport:" I select the subreport file I made earlier named SubReport. In Software Factory in Reports I'm using for Report type "SSRS (Local)" then in File I select the MainReport.rdl. When I'm opening the report in application I get an error (see Figure 2) saying that subreport could not be found at specified location....What I did I moved the subreport to the specified location given in the error and renamed the file from .rdl to .rdlc and got the expected result information on the subreport. My questions:Is that the w
Hi all,Currently my IAM Db is quite large. The main culprit is the table “get gui cache”, which takes up far over 1gb. I do not know/understand why this is, and this is driving the costs for backups through the roof… So, just for conversation.. How big is yours? I created a ticket within TCP, and I can clear it manually, but that does not feel like a great solution. Other than that, they send me over here and discuss it. So, let’s! Any thoughts on this? Kind regards, Alex
Does anybody know how to create a task which works on 2 independent lists. Let’s say I have a list with demands and I have a list with supply’s. These 2 lists are shown on 1 screen and horizontally devided. (I’ve created a reference with no reference columns) So the top list is the demand list and the below list is the supply list.I want to be able to select a demand line in the demand list and to select a specific supply line in the supply list as well. Then I want to start a task which can connect this specific demand line and this specific supply line. For example to create a new orderline based on this selected demand line and selected supply line.An example is the task “create list bar item” in the SF. In that case the system knows which subject I want to add to the listbar and the system knows as well which menu item (at the left side) is selected so the chosen subject will be placed in the correct submenu. Can we do this with two independent lists as well?
We are developing with our SQL Server for Thinkwise on Azure. We have various users as sf_developers. Unfortunately it is currently only possible to deploy changes in our (data) model when logged in as tsf_admin. Other users are not allowed to make changes to the application database. What do I need to do so that other sf_devolepers can also deploy their changes to the application database?Related to this:Currently I also have to create users for each application database. So also for all sf_developers so that they can test their own changes. Can this be automated in some way?
Since Software Factory 2020.2 All images are stored in the database. Also the IAM Global Settings has an option for an Application icon and the Application has an option for an icon. Is this icon also used as favicon for the Web GUI?Is it possible to have the favicon served from the database?I tried this, but without any luck so far.
Does anyone know how I can set the color of the tiles in the universal GUI? They are white right now. I checked the documentation and it speaks about the universal theme.https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/themes.html#tab Where can I find this page in the SF? I checked all Theme pages and tabs but this screenshot is nowhere to find. I hope someone can help me out
I want to filter records based on the user that is currently logged into the application. This should be possible as there are a lot of prefilters for My Projects and such, but can't seem to find out how to do this.So how do I know what the current user is? And how do I use this in prefilters and views?
I noticed in the release notes of Indicium Universal 2020.2.7 this:Implemented a setting to hide the /$metadata and /openapi endpointsIs it something to consider when using the Universal GUI, and if it's possible, how is this setting enabled I'd like to expose as less as possible.
When developing you would be able to see the results of your changes right away in a development environment. So also for the universal GUI wich will be replacing the mobile GUI. With the OLD mobile GUI we could start the GUI against the SF, without IAM, so view the results of the changes made.It seems for the universal GUI IAM is required and so it is also required to synchronize each time you’ve made a change. And as well before synchronizing all validations should be solved! Is there another way to view the application in the universal (mobile layout) GUI without IAM and without synchronizing all the time
Hi,I have a question about a message that is shown in the Universal GUI. Message: "No matching row was found. Would you like to change the search parameters?”.This occurs when i use a detail page with the preview component. The message is visible in the preview component. After pushing the refresh button from the actions pane, the preview is working again. But when i reload the page in the browser and go to the same detail page, the message is shown again.Any idea why this happens? Is it a bug?
I have a task on a subject which cannot always be executing, depending on the input parameters. I want to inform the user as early as possible that the task cannot be executed, and cancel the task. What is the easiest way to achieve this? The only thing I can imagine is having two tasks defined and connected via a process flow. In the process code for the first (dummy) task the cancel-check is done without showing the task dialog (all parameters hidden). If the task cannot be executed, the user will see a tsf_send_message and the proces flow ends. If the task can be executed, it can continue to the next task in the process flow which shows the task with input parameters. The users then confirms with "Execute".But is there an easier way without using process flows? I was thinking of the default concept, but I don't know how to cancel the task (close the task window, or not even show it).
