Column editable on table variant while column in main table is hidden.
Hi,I am trying to hide a column on the main table in both the components grid and form while making it editable in the table variant. For example: Column: Min_quantity Table: Purchase order Min quantity (hidden)Table variant of Purchase Order Min_quantity (editable) When I try this, the GUI hides this column min_quantity in both the main table and the variant. Is this still possible?
Azure SQL Timezone
Hi all,I am using Azure SQL (not the managed instance!) and run in the problem of all dates being UTC. Ofcourse I want to see the dates as if they are in my timezone (UTC+1) Have any of you handled with this before? And if so what solution did you use?I'm really curious on the different approaches.
KDIFF3 does not open
When in code review i want to compare code. Normally an external tool would open. My collegues work in Winmerge but the it policy changed and we now have to work in Kdiff3. Iver installed this tool on my computer but when i press the button in TSF it does not open but provides a message:Het systeem kan het opgegeven bestand niet vindenany idea how to fix this?
Win vs Universal Task parameter
Hello,I am trying to upgrade my applications to the Universal GUI, however when testing I am experiencing the following problem.I have a screen, which has parameters which are dependent on each other. In this case, I first need to choose a 'Gebouw’ (facility), after that, the related Naar ruimte: (area) can be chosen based on the chosen facility. So when I choose 114. It will only show the area's in that facility:The area which has been chosen also should be not a 'usage_area’. Hello everyone,We're experimenting with the API functionality and its OData query possibilities. We have a situation that we can't seem to get "right" though. Let's consider the following situation:Table "car"Table "driver"Table "car_driver"Car_driver obviously is the linking table between car and driver. To query that, we need to "expand" the relation, as explained in the documentation. OpenID Provisioning multi-tenant claim
Hi,We're setting up OpenID Provisioning for our application and we have a question about mapping the ‘Tenant’ claim to multiple tenants. It's a single Azure AD OpenID connection that has all the users from both tenants in it on their side. We have two tenants set up in IAM and we're wondering what the best way is to map the Tenant (which is to be filled with ‘iss’) claim to each of the tenants. Bug indicium? - Recursion on delete action view?
I don't get this error. How to show SVG as image in cardlist column?
Is it possible to show SVG as image in a cardlist column? We have a column with a SVG-element. But when i use this column in a cardlist, the SVG-element is not translated to an image. It shows the SVG-element code instead of the image.We are using the latest version of the Universal GUI (v1.5.2).
Ability to order the fields in 'Update'

Then his answer as Best Answer. ---Original Currently I don't think it's possible to change the order of the field in the 'Update' screen. It is possible that fields are ordered almost randomly. It doesn't use the List order so for an user it's very confusing. Here an example of a confusing order. I would like to be able to order this Update screen or at least it to be equal to the List. Two (or more) reports in a process flow on multiple records
[u]The situation is the following:[/u] I have two reports. When I run both reports seperately on a collection of records, it will give me a report for each record. First a report for the first record, then a report for the second and so on. [u]What I would like to achive is:[/u] I would like to make a process flow to execute both reports on a collection of records and then I would like to be presented with the first report for the first record, then the second report for the first record, then the first report for the second record followed by the second report for the second record, and so on. I haven't been able to achieve this. It appears like I am not able to cary forward the collection of records to the second process action. I hope my question is clear. Any help or hints would be appreciated. Thanks.
Is it possible to change the minimum height of a form?
In this case the form should only be a small status line at the bottom of the screen. There is enough space to show the form, but if I resize the form I get the message "Increase the size of the form to view the data". Look up pre-filters stay active
Hi, We have a situation where a 'suggestion-contains' control has a lookup with a couple of prefilters. Now when one of the prefilters is active, the lookup (with the pop-up closed) still only shows items within the prefilter. This feels a bit counter-intuitive, because every time I want an item belonging to another prefilter, I need to open the pop-up and change the prefilters. Is there something I can do to reset the filters every time the pop-up is closed? Thanks.
A multiline field without magnifier glass
I want to show a text field with 4 or 5 lines high, but without the Magnifier next to it. There is no relation on this field. Where can I turn this off? Or, how can I make a text field larger without using the domain control type 'Multiline’ Much appreciated! Alex
When are expression fields set (loaded/available?)
hi all, I was wondering, can anyone shine a light on this. I have a record (shipment - saved). I edit and add a Ship. This ship has some info like time of departure. These field are displayed in my Shipment screen as Expression fields. However, when i Edit Shipment, with the looking glass Add a new Ship, insert this… the expression fields remain empty until I save the shipment. Is this the normal flow of things? It happens in both web gui and windows gui. I of course would like the fields to be refreshed after inserting a new ship and connecting it to my shipment (so without the save). Who knows?! Alex
Automatically download files in a task
We generate XML files in our system. These files currently can be approached by using a task. We have chosen for a task because we want to log all persons approaching the XML. After pressing the green download button we have to exit the task by pressing 'uitvoeren'. Add a default constraint on (trace) columns
Is it possible to add a 'DEFAULT' constraint to columns via the TSF? Currently we fill trace columns via insert and update triggers but this results in unwanted trigger actions. The insert trigger will update the same table and thereby triggers the update trigger. Which in return executes the whole update trigger. (See code below) We have multiple places where this trigger nesting causes errors or wrong results. IAM 2021.1 on Universal
I've upgraded IAM to 2021.1, according to the release notes it should be compatible with the Universal GUI: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/blog/2020/11/26/2021_1.html#intelligent-application-managerBut I see a lot of http 404 results in several screens. For example Authorization > Users. When the usr_id contains a special character like a \ (backslash) or @ it cannot execute some http calls for the ‘layout’ and ‘context’. Same applies for user groups containing spaces. Backslashes and @ are often used for e.g. windows domains or email addresses.http://server/indicium/iam/2098/usr(usr_id='user%40company.com')/layout() for example is not working. skip validation in IAM by default
Is it possible to skip validation in IAM by default when synchronizing a model? We still have to solve several validation messages from older development which we simply didn't have the time for yet. Also since we do validation checks in SF of current development we don't really need it in IAM as well.
Unsure how to write specific unit test
Hello all, I have a question about unit tests. We're currently working on getting to grips with this subject. But I'm kinda stuck on one specific unit test. I have a default that I want to test. It is a simple one that removes spaces from a string, as follows: if @cursor_from_col_id = '[field]'and @[field] is not nullbegin set @[field] = REPLACE(@[field], ' ', '');end; But now I'm lost when adding the input parameters for the unit test. I'm choosing 'postal_code’ as a parameter with input '1234 AB’. But when I run the test it just returns '1234 AB’ (so it failed). I also tried adding 'cursor_from_col_id’ with input 'postal_code’ as an input parameter, but that also didn't work. Looking forward to your answer!
Control procedure parameter - default value
First I created a control procedure with a parameter. Then I filled in a default value for the parameter in the task parameter tab. However the produced SQL code that actually creates the procedure does not set this default value on the database. Is this the correct behavior? The generated code in the software factory includes this part: [code]create procedure task_procedure_name ( @from_date date ) as begin [/code] However I would expect something like this: [code]create procedure task_procedure_name ( @from_date date = '1970-01-01' ) as begin [/code] My goal is to create a procedure which includes a parameter with a default value which I can override if necessary when calling the procedure using the execute command. Can this be accomplished?
Search field in screen type - how does it work>
Hi, I have made 2 views (copy) of a table with some data - and would like to perform a search on this. I have made 2 screen types, one with a filter form and one with a Search form at the top, both have a grid below. The filter works well. In Subjects i’ve checked ‘Start empty with filter’, so this prevents (I assume..) the loading of the 1000’s of records that are not needed. I filter on a number, and it shows the corresponding lines. In filter, I expect to load all records, and search for the value, but the button ‘Search’ appears to be dead. Anything I need to check to get this working? What did i miss? Also, can anyone tell me the difference between a Search and a Filter? Filter - hides all non-matching values I suspect (but they are there in the background) Search - ? Trying to figure this out to assure some efficiency. Thanks for the input!
