We generate XML files in our system. These files currently can be approached by using a task. We have chosen for a task because we want to log all persons approaching the XML. In this task we see the file name and the option to download this file. After pressing the green download button we have to exit the task by pressing 'uitvoeren'. Is it possible to start the downloading of the document the path is referring to automatically instead of pressing the green download button after we opened the task?
Within Deployment>Creation there are three tabs (Generate definition; Generate source code and Execute source code) in which you can change the values from fields, but at the same time have various buttons with associated tasks.I'm looking to create a screen in which a user can enter data and have buttons to navigate to other screens and/or cancel/save the data (through an associated procedure). What do I need to do to be able model this functionality?
This topic is kind of a follow up on this topic:https://community.thinkwisesoftware.com/development-13/open-a-screen-first-time-and-ignore-it-the-next-time-1251 Because our application is a bit overwhelming the first time you start it, or the first time you’ll use features / subjects in the application, we want to help the user. We’ve found a tool called “Inline manual”. A video about what it does can be seen here: https://inlinemanual.com/product-demo/. In short you can “walkthrough” a user, show tooltips to help the user etcetera. Easily explain some actions step by step what to do. Simple things how the look-ups work, how you can add records etcetera. First time users really need some help, and that could be perfectly done by such tool. This could be an enormous improvement in “User onboarding”. Please note we only use the Web GUI, and are tempting to use the universal GUI as soon as it is feature complete for us. As we’ve tried to see if it’s interesting for us we’ve encountere
Hello, We have built a replacement for Wunderlist ((sub)tasks registration). This will be used by our Terminal drivers. They will use a tablet and the application will be accessed through the Universal GUI with a 4G connection. These tablets will rotate between the different drivers. They will log in with their AD account. Problem now is that you can see the passwords of the other drivers by clicking on the eye of the password control. This is certainly not desirable. This is an example, but I can imagine there will be more situations that this can happen. How to deal with this? For example, can the show/hide password eye toggle be turned off? Thanks in advance. For a client we’re working on connecting them to their corporate SSO solution. Fortunatly the documentation the client provided us indicated that they support OpenID as method. In prepraring the request to enable connection to their SSO solution the client’s IT team asked us to provide the redirect url that would be used. As this is the first time using Thinkwise to connect to OpenID I’m unaware of what this URL will be and I can’t find it in the relevant documentation. Can someone provide me with this url?Let’s asume that the environment will behttps://sampleurl.nl/Indicium (for the indicium interface) https://sampleurl.nl/Universal (for the universal interface)
What is the scenario to export a project from one SF environment and import the project into a different SF environment? One way is of course to retype everything: the requirements, datamodel, tables, gui, etc.. I think there must be a better way to reach the same result.
The columns are read only, but contain invalid values after copying them from another view. Is it an error in the software factory? Can they just be ignored?
I am trying to connect with a 3rd party API (Visma API based on Swagger) and for some reason I can't seem to get an output from the HTTP connector. For testing purposes I insert the connector output into a text file but the file remains empty. This is the debug error message in the application after triggering the process flow:
Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: A. Path '', line 0, position 0.
This suggests the connector output is empty which would explain why the file remains empty. If my assumption is correct then I don't understand why this happens. I have created the correct API call in the Insomnia application first and I get the expected json result: (Don't worry about data sensitivity because the data comes from a test account.) All the API call needs is a URL and these 5 headers (including a token). In SF I've set the par

We’ve got a table task that enables our users to delete certain records from a grid. This task is triggered by a double click on the record. The user can then select a task parameter that deletes the record that was used to trigger the task. We then refresh the subject. The user then get’s the following pop-up: Although the message pop-up is not strange, since the selected record was deleted. It’s confusing for our users since the wording is strange and the behaviour was intended. What can we do to prevent this message from triggering?
Last week we upgrade the SF from 2018.02 to 2018.03 and since then we have trouble with the performance. Our application starts normal but when we choose for the first time a (simple) menu-option the waitingtime is more then 6 minutes before it shows a result. The same after every 'refresh model'. Similar problem occurs when we start the SF itself, if freezes about 15 seconds before we can chosse an option. See the screendumps below
We are trying to make a message work with some parameters but after we trigger the message the only thing we see is the translation message and not the values in the querythe only thing we see is this when we trigger the message:This text is from the translation tabWhat we have in our query is/* Drop stored procedure def_purchase_order first. */if exists (select 1 from sysobjects where name = 'def_purchase_order' and type = 'P') drop procedure def_purchase_ordergocreate procedure def_purchase_order( @default_mode tinyint, -- 0 = add, 1 = update @import_mode tinyint, -- 0 = regular, 1 = import row, 3 = import @cursor_from_col_id varchar(255), -- column that triggered the default @cursor_to_col_id varchar(255) output, -- cursor in column after leaving the default @purchase_order_id purchase_order_id output, @id id output)asbegin -- Do not count affected rows for performance SET NOCOUNT ON; --control_proc_

While configuring two universals on a single web server, to create a setup in which the functionality asked for in the topic linked above can be deployed, we run in some issues. We like to setup a separate DNS record for each universal, such that depending on the DNS name the user is redirected to the correct login screen. Also on our development environment we like to have two universals, each using their own indicium, all on the same webserver, and have a separate DNS record for each universal. In both scenarios we face the challenge of how to correctly perform the DNS mapping. Our main questions are currently:what would be the best place to have the redirection take place? Users should just go to the domain name, without providing a path, and routing/redirections based on the browsed DNS name must take place which makes them land on the correct login screen OR the correct home screen, dependent on if auto login can be performed. to which path should we redirect? We figured out that th
Hi all,I currently have the following set-up, which is just not working great. It's slow, complex, and it needs a kick every day to get going. The current set-up. Task on 'origin’-table does an insert on the rpt_queue (table). Thinkwise reporting service picks this up, generates the PDF and places this in an output-folder NOTE: the .rdl file is not withing SF, but from a repo (so an outside party can create the rdl files!) Our home-made Service polls the output-folder. If a file is found, it is uploaded to our Azure File storage. It's final location is given back to the rpt_queue and 'origin’ table, so the file_previewer can display the file. Upside = it's what I needDownside = it's slow and never works well What I now want to try is this; Create the PDF through a task (with the .rdl from the repo) Save the directly to Azure file storage Get the final uri from the file and show in the File PreviewerAnd - this all must be faster than ..say… 10 seconds max? First of all, i'm not s
The users in our EndProduct can create employees for their company within the application. We have a task that creates a relation + an employee record. In addition to creating an employee we would like to be able to create an IAM user with the information and credentials the user has supplied. So we made a subroutine called ‘create_iam_user’. This subroutine does inserts/updates on the IAM database. After creating an employee record the subroutine will be executed. But when it does, we get the following error in return. The users in our EndProduct have no rights on the IAM database and the ‘User Admin’ rights are not granted. I tried altering the procedure to execute it as OWNER or as a SQL login that does have ‘User Admin’ rights. After changing the procedure the execution (via SSMS) of the procedure succeeded with a SQL login that has no IAM rights. However when trying to execute the procedure via the EndProduct user we still receive an error. Why doesn’t the ‘EXECUTE AS’ method work
Hello, I’m working with the Windows GUI and indicium. I have a website ‘https://website.acto.nl/new’. I have a second website ‘https://oldwebsite.acto.nl’. I’m not able to change the ini file of all the users at the right moment, so therefor I would like to redirect users with the Windows GUI which still trying to reach the oldwebsite to the webiste.acto.nl/new Is this possible and if so, what is the best way to accomplish this? It seems that the image control behaves differently for Andriod devices compared to iOS. On Android devices the option 'Take a Photo' is missing and the photo library opens immediately Any idea how can this be solved?
Hello,I was wondering what integration options Thinkwise offers on dedicated hadheld barcode scanners.I know mobile uses the camera of the mobile device, but that is not always the best and quickest way to scan multiple code fast after each other. Are integration solutions already in operation with other clients? If not, how do I get the information I need to start? Are there multiple solutions possible and which is the best?Do I use a USB or bluetooth handheld to connect with a PC on which a TSF client is installed. Does it have to communicate through a webservice? Is it better to work offline or online? Thanks, Joost van Lier
We have made an subroutine and mark this as an API (OData). This subroutine works fine when you use no parameters. When we profile with sql server the call is done but the parameter is null. We use the http call in the example but not sure this is correct.HTTP callhttp://web04/indicium/iam/100/fnc_getUserEmail?param_usr_id='itpartner\ronald'Metadata <Function Name="fnc_getUserEmail"> <Parameter Name="param_usr_id" Type="Edm.String"/> <ReturnType Type="CENTER.subroutineScalarResult" Nullable="false"/></Function>
When I want to use a view in the application, there are three options: automatic, customizable and template. Normally, I work with a template but in this case a cube is required where the data is in a table. I was planning on making a variant for the table but that doesn’t fulfil the needs in this case. I thought it would be possible to make this view without a template, but this doesn’t seem to work. My question here is: what is the difference between customizable and automatic? And why is the field ‘view_from_clause’ not customizable in both? And if it’s not customizable, why is the content not emptied? Anyway, while generating the piece of code between ‘select’ and ‘from’ is left blank, despite I’ve defined 4 fields in the view, and they do exist on the table. What am I doing wrong? Why isn’t this work? Am I still obligated to make a template? See the two print screens below: [img]https://uploads-eu-west-1.insided.com/thinkwise-en/attachment/05cbcbf9-e8c9-405d-a9
Reports developed in Devexpress tend to run rather slow in the Windows GUI. Even when Devexpress itself generates a report within a second it can still take over 10 seconds for the GUI to do the same thing with the same report parameters. I’ve seen this happen in several occasions. Now it’s an issue because for a new module for our warehouse printing a specific report is rather time critical. A delayed print tends to interrupt the workflow too much. The desired behavior would be to have a printout of a report within a couple seconds instead of the current 10-15 seconds. A workaround for now is to make it possible to set the print command in motion earlier in the process but that is not a solution in all situations. It also makes the chances of human error a bit larger. Is there a way to find out why reports perform slow in the Windows GUI?
How come I get a 500 error? I want to install Indicium Universal, because I want to use the process flow scheduler functionality. How is the configuration different from the installation of the 'old' Indicium? How do I know that the correct version of .NET Core Windows Hosting Runtime is running?
