We have an internal API which consumes data from our Thinkwise application through Indicium. Up until recently we had been using Indicium Basic, however recently we have started our upgrade to Universal. For authenticating users with Indicium through the API, in Basic we used the URL indicium/(sf|iam)/<app_id>/$logout, to which we would send a basic authentication header supplied by the client calling the API. However, in Universal this endpoint does not seem to exist anymore. Is there a similar endpoint in Universal which allows us to authenticate users through a basic auth header? Other ways of authenticating users are of course also welcome, but some form of username/password authentication is preferred. Thanks in advance!
Hi. Is there more elaborate documentation available on the Maps component for the Universal GUI? I've read the docs and some postings here, but can't figure it out how I should set it up. And is there also a listing of supported Maps providers? Before I used MapQuest, does this still work?
Has anyone figured out how to implement barcode scanning in the Universal GUI. At this moment when I scan a barcode in a TEXT field the GUI does not perform an ENTER. So the value is Shown in the field but, the value is not processed by the default because the GUI does not handle the scanning action of the terminal as an entered value. (I already tried different settings on the scanner like HEX suffix 0X0A (Which is the equivalent of ENTER) But the universal GUI seems to ignore this suffix. So the result is that the value is shown in the field and the user always need to do something on the screen. We need to scan a barcode, process it’s value in a default, moves the cursor to another field or the same field. For example, scan a product barcode, scan a location, scan a product barcode, scan a location. A created a test form with only 2 fields and want the default to handle the scanned value and moves the cursor to the following ‘to-be-scanned’ field. Someone has ideas??? declare @msg v
In one of our TW applications we have a large stock table and we created prefilters to filter for specific warehouses. We would like to use roles to assign which prefilters are visible and used.So pickers form warehouse A do not see the warehouse B entries and vice versa. And some people need to be able to see all..We couldn't find a way to do it.
Hi, I want to fill some values in a form on the moment that the user starts editing. I wanted to do this in the default procedure, but this is only executed after an edit has happened and not on the moment that the edit button is pressed (like the layout procedure). Is there a solution for this in thinkwise? Thanks
Is it possible to create a new language in TSF based on the language “NL”?We notice that some terms are slightly different in Belgium than in the Netherlands. So I would like to copy the language “NL” to “NL-BE”. How can I do that?If I can not do that myself in TSF, can you please provide me a script that copies al data in the required tables?
We have a filter issue for a non-reference field with datatype NUMERIC. The filter condition set in the SF doesnt reflect the filter in the GUI. In the SF ‘equal to’ is set to filter condition, but in universal it keeps showing up as ‘bigger then or equal to’. When set to ‘equal to’ in the SF, we would like to see a combobox populated with all existing values in the table.
In the software factory I defined a report with two parameters. These parameters also exist in the Devexpress file uploaded to this report. After running the report in the Windows GUI the debug info clearly shows the report was fed with the correct parameter values. However apart from the static headers that exist in the design the resulting file remains empty. No data is retrieved from SQL Server. I’ve tried both PDF and XLSX as output with very similar result. When I open the file in Devexpress from the cache folder as mentioned in the debug info and then enter the same parameter values there the report does work. This suggests the GUI does not communicate the parameter values to the report.I haven’t seen a form or task to link a specific parameter in SF to its counterpart in the report file so I assume parameters in SF need to have the same name as those in the report file. Is that correct? If so what could I do to make the GUI produce a complete report?
Hi,we just successfully tested an upgrade of our SF from 2021.3 to 2022.2.Next we tried to create the main trunk and noticed that during the “Validate definition” step we had an error on “User interface” > “Translation is unverified in ENG” > "Error while executing. More info can be found in Maintenance > Jobs > Validate definition.”Proposed solution is:Check the translation and set the verified flag. When reviewing translations is not required, this setting can be altered in the screen 'Configuration' under 'Settings'. This applies to all projects.Checking the related object the job "Validate definition” is displayed… 🤔As this is an internal SF object, it seems to be odd to show this as an error for us….The validation log on this object gives also the following information:Error message: Invalid column name 'verified'.Error number: 207Severity: 16State: 1Procedure: val_unverified_transl_engError line: 46For us this seems to be an issue in the SF….but maybe someone has an i
I would like to use OpenID connect from a 3th party application to Indicium. Since IAM is able to be set up as OpenID client this should be possible. I've created a user that contains the credentials and setup the OpenID client and Resouce in IAM. However I am not able to create a connection in postman. I do get the login screen[base]/indicium/account/ui/loginBut once I login it just stays on the logout screen. I probably did not configure it correctly. Who is able to help me out with this? What do I need to fill out in these fields:
I have the web gui on an Azure App Service. But I notice the “Logs” folder isn't created, and if it exists the files aren't placed there. I use this ini settings: Server = server.database.windows.netDatabase = iam-databaseRuntimeConfiguration = RDBMS = SQLSERVERMetasource = IAMLanguage = engAuthentication = rdbmsExecutionmode = developerCSVLogging = TrueLogToFile = Yes When I copy the GUI folder with the same ini to a local IIS application it does create the folder and a Debug.log on start-up. Do I have to do a bit more on Azure, or am I looking at a bug?
Hi, i have 2 tables as shown in the picture below: when i try to set up a look-up in Subjects on item_cast columns, it works only for item_type_cast, the final output is shown in the picture below: when i press the “search” icon, i see no entries in warehouse_items_table. Main problem is: i don’t know how to build a look-up with a reference to 2 primary keys.
In a default-control-procedure we update a record via the linked server, without any problem with the windows app. If we use the same default-control-procedure in the mobile app with get an unkown error. The error occurs during the post of the ExecuteDefault script
Hi, In debug-mode we see every 30 seconds a select executed which we can not seem to influence. The settings in the subject(variant) are not used (please noitice the screendumps) How can we (de)actived this or where can we find this (default??) setting ? When creating a domain you must choose the data type. In this case I want to create a Global Unique Identifier (GUID). Clicking on the data type lookup I am able to see more details for each data type (figure sorted by type). In this list there are two Data types of Type “Guid”.First question is what is the difference between these Data types? Also what is the meaning of each attribute? And in particular does Calculated mean that columns of this type will not be stored in the database?
Hi,I've made a barcode scanner view where i scan a barcode and it inputs the text behind the barcode. Is it possible that when i scan another barcode it automatically changes field “Barcode” with the new text? It needs to have the same effect as selecting the barcode text and scanning the new barcode. Is it something i can edit in Thinkwise or is it a seperate query that i need to write? Barcode after scanning. Scanning a new barcode doesn't have any effect on changing the Barcode field (i need to select the field and the value in it to make a change)
Setting conditional formatting without setting a specific column and without condition is now only working in grids. It can be used to show a data in a grid with a different font. Unfortunately this is not working for the same table for fields in a form. Why not?
We are pointing with a (generated) deeplink in e-mails to our customers and suppliers. These pointers refer to our good old WebGUI portal.I really love the universal GUI and I would like to generate these deeplinks to Universal for a faster acceptation of Universal (and close the old WebGui portal)Is deep linking already possible in Universal or planned?
Under user preferences > Subject configuration there's a checkbox: It's not really documented for end users, but I found something similar I think it should do: https://docs.thinkwisesoftware.com/docs/sf/subjects.html#start-empty-with-filter If I have the checkbox above checked, it doesn't what I expect it should do: After opening the subject via the menu, it should immediate open the ‘Filter’ dialog (as described here). If I check the box in the subject, it does show an filter.
