Is it just me, or is the HTML editor very basic in the Universal GUI?

Are there any plans to update it with richer options like here in the community when you add a question? Now it's only possible to go bold, italic or underline and add a list element. Or am I missing something?

There is an item on the backlog to add additional features to the universal HTML editor. If you feel like a certain function has a big added value feel free to add an idea to the ideas section.

Is there an update about this question? Right now we can only see the following HTML editor options (1):

As you can see (2), it is possible to add for example html links inside the editor. The problem is, there is no option to give the link a name (like in the last example). The link on the top is inserted directly into the database.

Wouldn't it be nice if we have the possibility to switch to HTML edit mode?
