On Sept 10th, around 18:00 we got issues with the TSF generation, the Write code files to storage failed. Nothing was changed, we did earlier generations that day. No direct clues in Indicium found. Just a log entry Writing to storage failed because of an unknown error.Path: CENTER_PMS\1.00.032\Deploy\Install\010_Db.sql

We tried to change the output location, same result. It failed for multiple projects. Restarted servers but nothing worked. Strange enough, we noticed that for example the document site from Thinkwise was also not available.

Later that night I tried again, and strangely enough it worked again.

Today Sept 15th, I have the same issue again. Write code files does not work anymore. Tried again different options, no success. I hope that it will resolve itself again…..

Funny enough I see this message on the community website: "We are currently experience problems with user login”. Is that a coincidence? Is writing code files trying to connect to a Thinkwise server and failing because of that?

I know it is a strange question, but I would like to verify.

Again, after a while it is now working again. I noticed however that I got a “not heared from Indicium” and I have re-initiated that, not sure if this related to the issue. Still interested to verify if there is no call to a Thinkwise API in the process

Hi Rob,

The writing of code files to storage may fail if Indicium is unable to write to  the destination. This can be because of access restrictions or being unauthorized for example. The Indicium log should certainly tell you why it was unable to write to the storage location.

The Community login is unrelated to the problem you were experiencing with the Software Factory, as storage locations (typically) are managed by yourself. Writing of code files uses a storage location which is managed in IAM > Authorization > Applications > SQLSERVER_SF > General settings > File storage locations: Creation | Thinkwise Documentation
