Hi,
Which method do you use to send the email? Can you show the corresponding configuration?
Hello @H. Lukassen , just to verify, is the ‘&lambda’ followed by a semicolon (‘;’)? If not, I suspect that the two different engines that are used to render the HTML may give different results.
We use the &lambda in the body of the mailer and it is displayed as a symbol in the body, but it is not recognized when we open the email in Outlook. Here we see the text &lambda.
So we do not use λ
Ah! Then what happens if you do add that semicolon to it?
I was asking this because the HTML standard requires that semicolon, and I imagine leaving it out is close enough to the standard that some rendering engines accept it anyway while others don’t.
I may misunderstand what you mean by ‘auto-correct’ though.
There is also a list of HTML Character Entities online with more special characters you can display in this way.
Dear Henk,
Thank you very much — we have received the expected result via email, and I can confirm that the lambda symbol is now displayed correctly.
Much appreciated!
Kind regards,
Helmuth
