Default of bit (checkbox) not being filled in in Universal

We are on version 2025.2. We have an issue that in one of our tables we have two columns with a bit type domain and default value 0, but when we add a new record, the form doesn’t fill in anything (checkbox shows -). We want these fields to be hidden, but then we get an error because they are mandatory columns. And in Windows we don’t have this problem.

To fix it currently we define at the start of the default script that these values are 0, but this shouldn’t be necessary.

Hi @Robin Liu,

If this still occurs, could you please report a ticket in TCP with reproduction?

Hi Robin,

This should not be happening. I just tested it on my end and it seems to be working fine. Could you tell me the exact version of the Universal GUI you are working with (available in the About screen from the user menu in the top-right). And if possible, could you show me the settings for the column in the Software Factory from the Columns tab in the Subjects screen?

@Peter Verwijs GUI version  2025.2.11 rc1.0
It’s happening for these two columns:

We don’t experience this in all tables
If we make the fields visible we see they are empty when adding a new row (this screen has not been optimized for universal yet, it doesn’t have the action bar yet i see. we are working on preparing to move to universal currently)

Do you know if you are using IAM or SF as the meta source? And in case it’s IAM, can you check if all changes have been synchronized to IAM?

I am not 100% sure, but we have the problem both in our development environment which uses the SF directly (?) and our production environment which is synced with IAM
